7/21: Biden "Stands Down". Should (Will?) President Joe Biden Drop Out of the 2024 Presidential Race? Poll & Editorials

Not my country, not my President. If Joe Biden is as good a man as I think he is I’m astonished he has not only survived in politics but attained the highest office. I do not question his decision but it’s a sad day for me. :(

Who will be tfg's vice presidential candidate?

This is what surprises me about tfg’s choice. It reminded me of him repeatedly quoting the snake poem. Is Vance really that malleable?

What do you all think of Keir Starmer? He appears to be a well informed capable administrator/organiser with an almost total lack of charisma. I view this as quite a good thing but the media won’t - think of the polar opposite of Boris. I believe he is more socialist than he has portrayed himself, ...

UK - England, Wales, N.Ireland, Scotland

The seesaw of UK politics has at last swung after 14 years; polarisation is such a bane along with apathy - only 60% of the electorate bothered to vote. Pleased to see the back of the odious Rees-Mogg who has said he will not stand again but I’m sure he will at the least continue to be a pain in the...

Although the body of the article somewhat more accurately reflects the possible ramifications of the SCOTUS ruling this is how the headline they chose. “Trump has some immunity from prosecution, Supreme Court rules”: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czrrv8yg3nvo ETA. I’ve always believed that the...

Pretty sure the turnip will pick whomever is likely to offer the best electoral advantage. If elected he’ll just sideline them one way or another.

I think it’s wonderful how children’s abilities/attitudes so obviously vary from child to child, and how they can change so drastically as they age. A delight to watch.

An example of the attitude of the BBC to the age/competency of the candidates. I’m sure that the BBC could argue that the contents of the article are “balanced” but it’s obvious to me that most readers would come away with a more negative impression of Biden. This is especially true as it seems most...

Kyle Rittenhouse, previous owner of a Smith & Wesson M&P15

Is it possible that everyone agree to the fact that a minimally trained “medic” and, as far as I know, effectively untrained rifle owner should never have gone to Kenosha? A recipe for potential disaster. Perhaps if he had gone unarmed purely as a “medic” he might have done some good although I doub...
