moderna #4 this coming Friday.

We're hosting a get-together the following day, so hopefully I won't have much of a reaction.

I've got a message into the doctors covering for mine about it. I had three Pfizers and had no reaction to them so guessing a fourth won't be a problem, although would like a different flavor this time.
Edit: I take a TNF-alpha inhibitor, which is believed to weaken the vaccine's antibody response and makes breakthrough infections more likely. Interestingly, TNF-alpha inhibitors may also reduce severity of symptoms. Jury is out.

Do your alpha inhibitors provide protection against RWNJs, incels, MAGATs, and other such elk?

No, because they're not as alpha as they believe.

I'm heading to Sedona at the end of May, and will get my second booster a couple of weeks before I go. I haven't had any severe reactions to any of the jabs, so I expect the same for the second booster.

I could have gotten one as a walk-in at a CVS yesterday, but I want the Moderna, which is what I had the first two times. I couldn't do it yesterday, also, because I have to be available for something in the next few days and didn't want to chance dealing with side effects. I've had from none to somewhat bad. Turns out I will have to be available on Friday, so probably it was good to pass. I'm going to try to get an appointment next Tuesday at the CVS location where they have the Moderna.

I've still got a slight question about getting this now as some specialists think waiting until the fall and flu/covid season might be better.

I don't quite know where my desire for the Moderna again comes from, but it's my preference this time. That said, if I get an appointment, and they don't have the Moderna, I'll probably just go with the Pfizer.

Monday afternoon I got my 2nd booster: Moderna after three Pfizer doses. Tuesday morning I got up, decided I felt pretty good aside from a sore arm, and did my cardio. I ate breakfast, and a few minutes later the flu-like symptoms hit: fatigue, feeling feverish, and all over aches. I also lost my appetite. (I never lose my appetite.) I spent the day napping and reading in my recliner.I started feeling better by late afternoon, but still very tired.

I am functional today, but I am still feeling a little under the weather.

I need to remember to call the Department of Health and come out again so I can get a Moderna booster. So far I've had one Johnson & Johnson and one Moderna. Fortunately, neither caused me any problems.

We were scheduled for Moderna booster #2 yesterday at Walgreens but when we showed up, they told us they were out of Moderna but could have Pfizer. We declined and went home grumbling. My mistake. When I finally checked my email, they'd sent one at 8 am telling us not to show. But I was able to schedule for this afternoon at Publix around the corner and we just got back. So we're 2 and 2 each.
May the bridges I burn light my way.

I was all scheduled for a 2nd Moderna booster last Friday, but when I got hauled off to the ER for emergency gallbladder removal the day before, I figured it might not be a good idea to have a booster that could knock me sideways while I was recovering. I rescheduled it for this coming Friday, when I don't have anything going on and can sleep it off if this one hits as hard as my first Moderna booster in October.

Thank you. I'm feeling mostly better at 4 days in, just a little residual soreness at the incisions. It was more amusing to have that come up as an excuse to defer the shot than anything else. Fortunately, gallbladder transplants are simple as far as abdominal surgery goes.

I'm glad the surgeon decided that removal was a viable option for me. I'd hate to be on pins and needles for weeks waiting for a suitable donor organ so they could do a transplant.

Since many are eligible and are receiving a second booster it looks like time to reset the poll again.

OK i edited the poll to fix some typos and reflect that the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA boosters are recommended if you had the J&J single vaccine originally.

I have had 3 full Moderna jabs and the last one was a full Pfizer. I am a a liver transplant and immunosuppressed. I sure hope I have antibodies cause the 3 Moderna doses kicked my ass, the Pfizer not so much, still wearing my mask.
