Donald Trump spoke on Saturday in the battleground state of Wisconsin, escalating his anti-immigrant rhetoric and taking his personal insults against Kamala Harris up a notch.

Trump’s speech in the small community of Prairie du Chien, where a Venezuelan in the US illegally was detained in September for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and attacking her daughter, was unusually devoted almost entirely to undocumented immigrants. He wrongly claimed that immigrants in the US were violent criminals, referring to them as “stone-cold killers”, “monsters” and “vile animals”.

The Republican presidential candidate was flanked by posters of immigrants in the US illegally who have been arrested for murder and other violent crimes, and banners saying “End Migrant Crime” and “Deport Illegals Now”.

Former President Donald Trump on Monday is expected to visit Valdosta, Georgia, where he will receive a briefing on the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and “facilitate the distribution of relief supplies.”

The former president will then give remarks to the press at 2 p.m. ET, according to his campaign.

Trump on Sunday sent his condolences to those affected by Helene, which was the strongest hurricane on record to slam into Florida’s Big Bend region.

“It’s been a rough one. That was a big, monster hurricane and … hit a lot harder than anyone even thought possible. So we want to just extend our best wishes to everybody,” Trump said at a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania.

As of Sunday afternoon, at least 90 people have died in relation to Helene in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.

The Democrats are interfering with my Campaign by not giving us the proper number of people within Secret Service that are necessary for Security. They’re using them for themselves, even though they don’t need them - they draw “flies” - because they have no crowds, and for people like the President of Iran, who is doing everything possible to kill me. We need more Secret Service, and we need them NOW. It is ELECTION INTERFERENCE that we have to turn away thousands of people from arenas and venues because it is not being provided to us. Congress just authorized Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in money and help, and with the weak crowd participation that the Democrats get, there should be plenty “left over” for the Republican Party. Hopefully the people of Wisconsin, and other areas where thousands are turned away, will realize that this is just another Democrat ploy!
