It was time to hammer on his mental ability in 2016, but it's gotten exponentially worse. And time to yammer on how anti-American their Project 2025 is and how both endorse it (while claiming not to).

I can't imagine Trump agreeing to debate Harris. She'd wipe the floor with him and he knows it.

:yeahthat: :yeahthat: :yeahthat: What seems like a very long time ago the media was pointing out that the majority of Americans did not want a Trump/Biden rematch, didn't want either one of them. I think it's time to remind the media that the majority of Americans do NOT WANT TRUMP. Not only is he too old, but he is a convicted felon and is facing not just a large number of felonies, but he's facing some of the most serious offenses against the USA. He stole classified documents and refused to return them in spite of the fact that feckless, useless Merrick Garland asked him pretty please for damn year and a half.

If an admittedly older, but fundamentally decent, caring, empathetic, man wasn't fit for President how the hell can a fundamentally grotesque, felonious rapist possibly be qualified to run for POTUS.

Agreed. And won't that make a juicy talking point for the Harris campaign.

That above tweet got me thinking. Think about ALL the anti-Biden flags and signs and stickers and TShirts and cups and mugs and bumper stickers. And on and on. Totally irrelevant now.

Oh, but I suppose that opens up a whole new grifting store because all those signs and flags and mugs have to be replaced with anti-Kamala merchandise. The political merchandise manufacturers must be in heaven.

Edited to add - Well, we Democrats have to also go out and buy Elect Kamala stuff too. It's a good time to be a political merchandise manufacturer!

now #45 has a new election fraud meme at hand
Donald Trump says Republicans should be ‘reimbursed for fraud’ for the money spent campaigning against Joe Biden

BYChris Megerian and The Associated Press

For the past year, the presidential campaign seemed destined to be a monotonous slog featuring two candidates, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, that voters didn’t really want.

But that all changed on a quiet Sunday afternoon just 107 days before the election.

Biden’s decision to drop out of the race and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor resets the campaign with a swiftness that is unparalleled in modern American politics.

Once a contest between two elderly white men, the election will likely force Trump to contend with the much younger Harris, who was consolidating support among Democrats and would be the first woman of color atop a major party’s ticket.

“It shakes things up entirely,” said Dan Pfeiffer, a former adviser to President Barack Obama. “It turns everything on its head.”

The crumbling of Biden’s reelection effort, which began with his shaky debate performance last month, has left both parties scrambling. Although no one has stepped forward to challenge Harris for the Democratic nomination, she still faces the unprecedented challenge of taking over a campaign only four weeks before the party gathers in Chicago for its convention.

At the same time, Trump must pivot his focus to Harris after designing his campaign for a rematch with Biden. Trump’s team claimed they were prepared to run against the vice president, and Republicans stepped up their criticism during the party’s convention last week in Milwaukee.

However, Trump himself expressed disappointment that “we have to start all over again” with the campaign. He mused on Truth Social, his social media platform, that Republicans should be “reimbursed for fraud” for all the money they’ve spent running against Biden.

:confuzzled: why "start all over again" :?: Did they maybe concentrate too much on the projected "disabilities" of their opponent rather than on the "qualities" of their own candidate :?:

What have they spent on campaigning? I thought it mostly goes to things like Melanie’s stylist.

Maybe that's what they're concerned about. They'll have to start spending some of it on the actual campaign.

IIRC, He has yet to utter Kamala's name since Biden exited the race. It threw his whole game off.

Why? They had to know it was coming with the 50 million headlines a day about donor pressure and pressure from Democrats like Pelosi. It was not a surprise. And they should have been prepared anyway because of his age-he could have died of natural causes before the election, same as tfg.

I think it hit Trump hard because Biden did a selfless act that Trump could never imagine someone in that position doing. Trump, no matter what the pressure, would NEVER drop out of the presidential race. Moreover, Trump would never believe that any group of people would seriously consider a woman of color a valid candidate, so facing her is a real surprise to him.

What a shock it will be when he loses to a woman of color.

The selfless act belies the “Crooked Joe” bs.

Same energy as "I don't get it. What's in it for them?" when talking about soldiers killed in the line of duty. It's just totally out of his ability to understand selfless service to others. It would be like me going in to teach my son's classes about nuclear propulsion. I can spell it but that's the extent of my ability in that area.
