From Reddit user u/StellerDay:

EVERYONE should know about "Project 2025 - Mandate For Leadership, the Conservative Promise," available at www.project2025.org, the literal Republican playbook, put together by the Heritage Foundation and 45 other conservative entities like Alliance Defending Freedom, Claremont Institute, and Moms For Liberty. It was first handed to Reagan, who merely enacted the policy within it. Same with Trump - they are two heads of the same snake. Their vision for a Christofascist theocracy and just how they intend to implement it are painstakingly detailed.

Their plan is to dismantle the federal government and remove our rights, TO BEGIN WITH. It's fucking chilling and you should at least read the foreword, a dense 17 pages of GOP philosophy that outlines their mission. Fossil fuels are a big part of it. God and guns and nothing else for everyone. Sealed borders. Everyone will be free to live "as our creator ordained," in those words. If that doesn't terrify you idk what will.

From the about page at the link:

The 2025 Presidential Transition Project is being organized by The Heritage Foundation and builds off Heritage’s longstanding “Mandate for Leadership,” which has been highly influential for presidential administrations since the Reagan era. Most recently, the Trump administration relied heavily on Heritage’s “Mandate” for policy guidance, embracing nearly two-thirds of Heritage’s proposals within just one year in office.

Paul Dans, former chief of staff at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) during the Trump administration, serves as the director of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. Spencer Chretien, former special assistant to the president and associate director of Presidential Personnel, serves as associate director of the project.

Seems to be about as anti-American as anything I've seen in my 62 years.

I've never seen a video by Leeja Miller before this one but she gives a good overview on Project 2025. I wish I could dismiss this all as some sort of liberal fear porn but this is the unitary executive theory on steroids in service of a christofascist agenda. Very frightening stuff.

I'm currently reading the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 materials. one is from 1992 and is apparentlly a DIA paper and the 2nd is "mandate for leadership - the conservative promise" haven't started on that as of yet. anyone interested in discussing and figuring out how to counter it with more than keyboard warrioring?

Holy cow.

Kevin Roberts, head of the Heritage Foundation, is on The Weekend Show (MSNBC) discussing Project 2025. Simone Sanders, Micheal Steele, and Alicia Menendez are tag-teaming him to extremely good effect.

Roberts is spewing racism, autocracy, hate, twisted information, cherry-picking, threats, and did I say racism and h ate?

This is the most chilling thing I have heard on TV this year. And I am so damn glad they have him on to get it on the record what this Nazi is planning. 50,000 civil servants canned, "And more than that" if they can. Donating to a democrat is grounds for removal. Get your deportation camps ready for millions. He uses the name of a girl murdered by an immigrant; Steele points out that crime rates in TX are much, much lower for immigrants: "Tell that to her parents," Roberts says. "You're blaming 11 million for the bad acts of a few," says Steele (paraphrase). And on and on. And abortion (oy oy oy). And on and on.

He claimed that 2020 was stolen. He claimed huge lists of illegal votes. Saunders pops up with a Heritage Foundation doc saying there were some 1,000 proven cases of illegal voting since _1980_. "Well, they're hard to prove," says Roberts. JHK.

Steele wraps up by talking about extremism when it comes to rights and liberties. He's good, but he's underestimating the power of that interview.

Wow.

Must see TV.

IIRC, the ACA (Obamacare) was essentially drawn from Heritage's suggested alternative to HilaryCare. Now the fight hates it. Sort of makes them bi-partisan, I guess.

I assume they are against their own proposal now.

As implemented by Republican Governor Romney (RomneyCare).

It's basically the John Birch Society.

And they have gotten the left distracted with the abortion (and possibly trans) crap that they don't care about, and are sneaking the other stuff under the radar. And when they have gotten what they wanted, I suspect they will magnanimously allow you to get your "Abortion rights" back, tell their Influencers to hell that you have won and saved America, and then chuckle hard as you look confused at the millstone that's still just as heavy around your neck.

It's amazing that the story above isn't a bigger headline. They are blatant, it's scary.

Anyway, at least the Biden camp noticed.
