They won't care how crazy he is, as long as he signs their preferred legislation.

I mean, to be fair, most of his supporters are divided into the True Believers and the People Who Think FJT Is A Useful Idiot. This is true regardless of whether they are business leaders, foreign heads of state, Evangelicals, etc.

The former group will Believe until something *truly over the top and irrefutable* makes them Not Believe.

The latter group will shrug until he's no longer a Useful Idiot.

I fear the same. I told my daughter, who doesn't want kids, that if she's sure, she'd best get her tubes tied while she has insurance. They've already taken abortion and contraception is their next target.

Then divorce.

My 33 y/o divorced and childless daughter got her tubes tied last year because she is afraid of being forced to have a child and was stressing out about birth control failing her as it has in the past. I said get it done before SCOTUS decides she can't.

By tonight (my time) the spin will be that Trump regularly calls Ron Johnson, Jackson, and Ronny Jackson, Johnson, as an in-joke between the three of them, and we're just stupid libruls if we don't believe that and think it's high-larious.

Didn't they already know about this third gun? I remember reading about that earlier in the week. It's not like this issue was a surprise nobody could have foreseen.

I'm sorry. Does my church offend you by feeding the hungry through our food pantry (an ever growing ministry), working to help house migrants, and many other local ministries to help those in need?

Please stop blaming all churches for the actions of some. We don't control them, and some of them only wear a label of Christian in order to look important.

Now, now. As I am certain DJT would explain, the poor are not there to be fed. :fingerwag: The poor are there to be eaten.

I am sure that I saw that on the Internet and you know they couldn't say that on the Internet if it weren't true. :nope:

I imagine investigations of any of the megachurches and their "pastors" would be revealing.

Given the big blow-ups at 2 around here, Harvest and WIllow Creek, without even needing an investigation, I suspect you're right. In fairness, Willow Creek was a senior pastor behavior issue more than finance, but I bet there may well be some financial issues as well.

I was going to say myself that there's already supposed to be standards for when a church crosses a line on this, IRS-wise, yes? I would think it'd be more moral and ethnical -- though certainly more difficult, politically -- to just enforce those rather than punish the folks who are doing it right.

I don't think that we should tax all churches, but I wish that the IRS would be more agressive about revoking the tax exempt status of those churches that blatantly engage in partisan politics. Some of these churches are so far over the line, that they have become political organizations, rather than houses of worship.

Has the IRS ever revoked a church's tax exempt status? I remember, in the Obama administration, there was some talk of doing just that. The GOP and other RWNJs went ballistic that the IRS was targeting conservatives. AFAIK, nothing ever came of it.
