I have been watching all of Popok’s posts on MTN. He is licensed to practice in New York and expresses confidence about the DA’s felony election interference case. He also thinks Merchan has a handle on where to jail Turnip for violating the gag order. He suggested a nearby military base which could accomodate Secret Service. He didn’t explain the procedures of a state judge jailing a defendant in a federal military base yet. Of course, it could be a state guard base.
Back in the day, I had a corporate CPA named Pecker. If he called with something urgent while I was in a meeting, my Executive Assistant Jill would burst in, saying, "I'm holding Pecker!" So, I'll be chuckling throughout his testimony.

Juror #9 expressed concern about publicity. Judge Merchan and lawyers speak with him in private and he agrees to remain.
Judge is reading his ruling on Sandoval motion. Access Hollywood transcript and about everything else can be used if Trump testifies except the sexual abuse findings in Carol cases.

If they don't break for lunch--and not sure they would since they're leaving at 2. Lunch is normally 1 to 2:15, according to KFA, so I'm guessing they'll push through, with breaks. So we should hear from Mr. Pecker.

What strikes me about this case is that it's basically about Trump wanting to keep sexual liaisons secret, esp in light of the Access Hollywood tape that had just come out. This was not long before the 2016 election...like maybe in October? And the thing is - now, his voters wouldn't care a bit about this. Back in 2016 it might have made a difference - the whole country didn't yet understand the depth of his assholiness and stupidity and evil. But MAGA doesn't care now and this would not have been an issue in the 2020 election.

Judge said they are breaking at 12:30 PM.
Sorry to hear this, but it's been an eye-popping morning, so I can live.
MSNBC reporting that a juror has an emergency dental appointment, hence the earlier (earlier) daily recess.

Elkan Abramowitz, David Pecker's lawyer, just entered the courtroom.
A well-known lawyer from one of the country's top white collar criminal defense firms, Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello. Probably much better than any of Trump's lawyers.
