Yeah, but if I get an extra day in the year, I want June 31st.
Who wants another day of February?

How many people here have at least one clock that says it's March 1st?

A friend had a daughter born on February 29, 1972. Her daughter is a leapling or a leaper. Whatever, she gets to celebrate her real birthday today.

Today is Leap Day, the only time in my career that I'll get a third payday in February (other than the one time I was paid weekly), and my Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just arrived. I'm celebratin'!
Also, February is my favorite month.

I was born in a leap year - 1952. Not on Leap Day. Missed that by 10 months. But I was counting up last night. The first Leap Day in my life was 1956. So this will be my 18th Leap Day, as it is for anyone born 3/1/52-2/29/56. We are now all legal Leap Day adults!

Oh, I feel so old. They just had Bill Nye the Science Guy on CNN to tell us how it comes about. Co-anchor Boris Sanchez started it off saying the upcoming guest was a childhood hero. I am old enough to remember when Nye was on a show on Channel 5 in Seattle many decades ago. I think I'll home now and count my gray hairs

Any others experience this or know anyone who has?
My baby sister was born February 29th, 1956. And not right around midnight, but about 7:00 a.m. Yet, her birth certificate shows her date of birth as February 28th, 1956.

As mentioned above, a friend had a baby on February 29, 1972.
They were just talking about this on the local news. One local hospital had four babies born today. Parents were choosing different days, February 28 or March 1 to celebrate, for various reasons. But they said that legally March 1 is the day to use as far as the government is concerned. I wasn't paying close attention, but I'm not sure why the government would care, but I guess there could be some technicalities involved here for legal purposes.
