Thank you all so much, had some tears from all your kindness. I appreciate it more than you know.
This was a really hard birthday, my first without Mom and Dad and I miss them every moment.
I used to order steaks from Outback Steakhouse for my Dad for delivery, and I'd order too... then we'd have our phones on and have dinner together. He was up in Connecticut. We had great fun at those dinners, we loved their food. In his honor, I ordered a prime rib from Outback for my birthday. They knew I used to order for Dad, so they sent me a beautiful meal and even attached a handwritten note of how sorry for, "everything you are going thru with the loss of your parents, we wish you the best". So kind of them.
Now the next step is I have to move by the end of the month and it's the very last thing I want to do right now. Talk about taking on the top stress items at once. Had my annual physical last week and my blood pressure runs high -- but on Thursday it was exactly 120/80. They even did it twice. The resident following my doctor said he did it twice because he'd never seen it hit exactly on those numbers. I was in shock that under such stress, for once it was ideal. Gotta thank Mom and Dad.
Thank you again for bearing with me, I'm still an emotional mess and now with an imminent move I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. All of your friendship and the laughs in the forum here mean the world to me. Thank you for the great messages.
