I think that in Ohio any law enforcement officer with a gun and the power to arrest must be a graduate of one of the Police Academies or something similar. Perhaps a degree in Criminal Justice. It's been a while since Wyatt Earp could just hand out badges to go hunting cowboys.

Fewer than 300 Sheriff members out of more then 3000 nationwide. Most are probably concentrated in areas that already have other LE problems.
This probably isn't a :panic: situation.
Perhaps not, but worth keeping an eye on - they can deputize the militias. They aren't restricted under Posse Comitatus as the USA Military is
I don't think that's correct. To my knowledge, anyone deputized by a sheriff has to meet the same basic requirements a hire does. No felony convictions, no domestic violence convictions, etc. They can't just deputize anyone who shows up with a gun.
The 'Constitutional Sheriffs don't abide by the Constitution. as you know, they consider themselves the "Law"
from their website:
he law enforcement powers held by the sheriff supersede those of any agent, officer, elected official or employee from any level of government when in the jurisdiction of the county.

The vertical separation of powers in the Constitution makes it clear that the power of the sheriff even supersedes the powers of the President.

Furthermore, it is this responsibility that grants a Sheriff the Constitutional authority to check and balance all levels of government within the jurisdiction of the County.
They also sell silver & gold along with "Health products"
castigat ridendo mores.

The word “sheriff” appears nowhere in the text of the Constitution. So… wtf?

Which meant absolutely nothing to me.

I assume this is the context?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring,_Ring_de_Banjo
Ring, Ring de Banjo is a minstrel song written in 1851. The song's words and music are from Stephen Foster.

The song, written to mimic the dialect of Black people in the Southern United States, is about a newly-freed slave who wishes to come back to his master's plantation. As his old master is dying, the singer plays the banjo on his old master's deathbed until he dies.[1] It is one of "minstrelsy's most explicit evocations of the potentially violent relationship in slavery between master and slave"[2] and inspired a number of imitators, including the abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe.[3]

The German Homophone company started issuing Homochord labeled records in Britain in 1913. WW I led to the end of this Homochord label.

In 1921 the Homochord label was revived under British ownership.

Homo-Baby label.

Url: https://www.discogs.com/label/2754827-Homo-Baby

Has only 3 known releases, none of which are the one posted above.

Of course, others could exist, not every record collector uses Discogs, but it is the largest database by far.

The catalog numbers on those three releases are 1, 2 and 9, so it looks like there likely were other releases on the label - or they're not very good at counting

Yes, I know they could just be using a totally different cataloging system, but that's not as funny. Not that "can't count" is all that funny either, but... its morning. What can I say - I tried, eh?

A guy who worked under me here in London until his early retirement a couple months back looks like he could be Allen West's younger (though British) brother. It hit me every time I looked at him but never said anything. Fortunately, despite a mild streak of retirement-in-place for years before he actually did retire (according to the people who supervised him before I did), he was nothing like the retired Colonel -- he was generally pleasant, though very quiet and reserved.

Imagine a world in which Allen West were more like that.
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

I hez questions....

Knights Templar was established (and unestablished BTW) by the Pope, they is Catholics... or was

Current Knights Templar are Freemasons I guess, news to me but okay, I knew Freemasonry bases their backstory on the Solomon's Temple master mason mythology... it's tangential but I'll allow it

Here is where it gets dicey...

First off, Catholics strictly speaking can't be Freemasons, the Pope no longer approves and besides, the Pope and therefore Catholics are the bad guys in the "It's a Conspiracy" crowd storyline, as are the Freemasons.

So how? I mean, can you square this circle?

Topologically speaking, squaring a circle is no harder than turning a coffee cup into a doughnut (see what I did there? :towel: ). You just have to change your basic assumptions -- then the circle looks perfectly square from your perspective. I don't think that reconciling Freemasonry with Catholicism is all that difficult in terms of mental gymnastics these days...
