Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
How did guns get in this topic. I scanned the thread but I can't find anything of the insurrectionists bringing guns in. Guns are banned in D.C. -- it's not Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin or other free-for-all anything-goes states. Did I miss something? So, is there an "Assault on the Capitol (Lan...

Re: Gun Control
Ethical hunting - if you aren’t sure that you will kill cleanly with the shot, don’t shoot. I got in a drawn out forum argument once with a someone claiming that Aussies had all their guns stolen by the gummit, were in open rebellion about it, and there were still murders, and etc. etc. etc. After ...

Re: Gun Control
So the modern semi or using one of those readily available conversion kit to full automatic with large capacity magazine would be my choice of fire arm to commit a massacre. Does it though? There was one guy who used bump stocks, but I can not recall any that used full auto, converted or otherwise....

Probably visited the Grand Canyon then back to Flagstaff and down to Phoenix (perhaps via Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona)?

Re: Gun Control
When a TV star is in the crowd and gets killed, people will notice. I'd bet real Confederate Dollars that 200 million people in this country don't even know this happened. So, apparently, we need to sacrifice a Kardashian, for the good of the country. THEN people will get outraged. :cantlook: Won't...

Re: Gavin Seim AKA Snaggletooth
Seim has on several occasions blathered on about “America” being a continent not a country, so it might be just another one of his badly phrased witterings. Maybe he consoles his tiny mind by thinking he’s still in “America”? And "America" is actually 2 continents. There is no "Ameri...

Re: Racism back in fashion, did it ever fade?
I have noticed the last few years in Australia, that (mostly) Asian owned massage parlors are opening up within days of some boutique or haircutter shop shutting down. Somebody told me that one of the things that can grease the Australian immigration rails is to commit to opening up a business and m...

I'm not sure She is trying to disavow it. She seems to be saying "the stuff I claimed is completely nuts and no reasonable person would believe it. And it does not matter if the sources I used were complete ass... even though they weren't and I still believe everything I said!" There's go...

Re: Report Problems/Questions Here
Is there a magic incantation to get the forum software running on a desktop machine to remember me? Seems to work fine on Android, but on my desktop (Windows 10, Firefox) I have to logon every time. Other forums I visit, also running phpBB, do not seem to have this problem. And yes, I keep trying t...

Re: New York State Investigations of Trump and Related
That Route 66 episode is supposedly set in Mississippi and is from the black and white era of TV (some of us can remember back that far) - but it is missing something. I dunno, I just can't put my finger on it. I did notice that they kept pronouncing Drumph's name oddly... it kinda sounded like they...

Sure. Especially if it is an airline.

Re: Save the US Postal Service
The leg from Rockwall to Coppell would have been by truck, as both are suburbs of Dallas, Texas. It's less than 100km. Rail freight in the US is long-haul only, not cross-town. The delay could easily have been an aftermath of the storm. Coppell is near the immense DFW airport, one of the busiest in...

Re: Save the US Postal Service
This is an example of a USPS tracking log for a package I assume will arrive at my door on Monday (it is late Friday afternoon and it isn't here yet). My interpretation (guesses pulled out of my backside) of what the events are are shown in red . I really can't see anything too awful to complain abo...

Re: Corona Virus vaccination status poll
Quick note from Australia: Phase 1b starts on Monday: anyone over 70, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders over 55, health workers not in phase 1a, adults with underlying medical condition. I'm in Phase 2b, but it almost looks like by the time we get there I'll be in 1b. Sheesh. The Government's t...

You don't find many native Indonesians with the name first name Irwin, Franky, Ricky, or Martin. You don't? Well I can't speak for current practice in the Asian/Islander community in the USA of course, but I can report that it is quite common for Asians and Islanders to have 'dual' names in Austral...

Re: Save the US Postal Service
I can see 6 houses from the window by my computer. 4 of them got deliveries yesterday. 4 different trucks, 4 different drivers. I had never noticed it before, but it looks like something they need to get a handle on. Don't know why it bugs me so much, either. I just reread my previous novel like re...

Re: trump (the former guy)
How many former presidents will attend Trump's funeral? I would be ecstatic if one went to represent all of them as long as that one was Jimmy Carter. Maybe we can send a clerk from an obscure Executive Branch department to stand in for The US Government. My suspicion is that you missed my point. :...
