Sinclair (gas station chain out west) has its own town in Wyoming, basically a big oil refinery. I think that's where they make the 85 octane.

What with all the tornadoes yesterday didn't get around to mentioning our local brush fires.

This is a seriously badass looking truck. Me want!

(I think it's a converted Oshkosh military truck turned into a fire truck of some sort. Not sure they've bothered to put a lot of mission equipment on it, but it does look really cool. Probably given them under the fire department equivalent of the "1033" program.)

Considering the current TX gov't and political situation, I think that garbage scow already done sunk, frogs somehow seem minor by comparison, that and it is too dry there right now.

Based on what I am seeing for the next couple of days, weather wise it could get right nasty with the high winds predicted from the west clear through in to the mid-west and east.

Wildfires prompt evacuation of Iowa Park High School, US 287 shut down

City of Iowa Park warns residents in Wagon Wheel, Yucca, Surrey Circle areas of the possibility of evacuations.

The Texas A&M Forrest Service has combined the Belcher Fire and Burnett Ranch Fire to manage as the Belcher Complex. They estimate the fire is 200 acres.



According to a Facebook post, Iowa Park High School has been evacuated due to uncontrolled wildfires in the area. The post did say that all other campuses will remain in session at this time.

Officials with the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office are asking that residents please stay out of the 287 area of Iowa Park and Electra. US 287 is closed in Iowa Park and Electra and residents will not be able to get through. According to Melvin Joyner with the WCSO the fire is jumping the road and the area is hazardous.
