The Gateway House of Boys is VERY ANGRY about Brian Kolfage's jail sentence. They go on and on and on screaming and coping and seething. So angry they couldn't do a cursory spelling and grammar check. 'MERICA! Proud to be Dumb!
BREAKING: Communist New York Court Puts Triple Amputee and War Vet Brian Kolfage in Prison for Four Years for Building a Southern Border Wall
By Joe Hoft Apr. 26, 2023 3:15 pm

Does America need any more evidence that it is under communist control? This is the end.

Brian Kolfage has been sentenced to four years in prison. Steve Bannon associate Brian Kolfage has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role in defrauding donors to help privately build Donald Trump’s southern border wall. Kolfage, a US Air Force veteran who lost his legs and right hand in a rocket attack in Iraq, pleaded guilty last year to misappropriating more than $350,000 from the “We Build the Wall” campaign. The 41-year-old was sentenced to 51 months in prison at a hearing in federal court in Manhattan on Wednesday. Prosecutors said that he spent the money on cosmetic surgery, boat payments and jewellery. In addition, he also pleaded guilty to tax charges.

It’s a lie. Our source claims that the prosecution withheld information that would have exonerated Kolfage. The media reported during the 2020 DNC and only a few days before the RNC that New York agents had arrested Steve Bannon, Brian Kolfage and two others for charges related to them building a segment of the wall on the Southern border. The news media was primed with fantastical stories of crimes in the court of public opinion. These ‘fraudsters’ took money to pay for their efforts and expenses while independently building the wall on the Southern border!
► Show Spoiler
Kolfage stated at the time: "I’ve taken direct hits from mortars fighting for my country overseas, now I’m taking mortars from a politically corrupted and weaponized judicial system who has made it their #1 goal to target all Trump associates. With reckless regard for the constitution they have set out on a mission to destroy people’s lives by intimidation through a weaponized mainstream media platform that regurgitates and tries defendants in the court of public opinion before facts are even known. This is not the type of freedom I raised my right hand to defend, this is totalitarianism to take political prisoners."

They are coming after us for one reason, we embarrassed them, we proved that Americans wanted border security. ‘We the people’ then built the wall and cut off major human smuggling routes. We showed Americans that we can accomplish the “impossible” with a little good old fashioned hard work. Everything we accomplished went against the tainted beliefs of these socialists from NY who are after us. They want the permanent political class to stay in power. And in order to achieve that they need globalism and open borders to keep the power on their side.

When the facts come out over the next few months they are going to have to drop this case; it’s that’s simple, this case is 100% TAINTED by political motivations. That’s why they timed it to the eve of the Republican National Convention, just as Steve Bannon was beginning to advise the Trump Campaign again.
Today the corrupt SDNY which doesn’t give a damn about justice celebrated sentencing Brian Kolfage to 4 years in prison.

Well, if "This is the end." -- thanks for playing, Hoft Bros. Might as well shut the House of Boys down. Seems like most of their readers are criminals who are going down anyway. They seem to forget that on Aug 20, 2020, when he was arrested, it was the TRUMP DOJ. It's the hard knock life.

No, building or not building any wall is not even mentioned, he stole money from a non-profit. End of story.

As to his arrest and 15 armed USPIS Agents showing up to do it, can you blame them? There is more than enough reason to think he's as well armed as the 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne and more than once in a while gun nuts have been known to not just politely open the door and ask you to wait while they grab a jacket.

The real screaming injustice here is 3 people involved in this little scam are doing years in prison and Bannon is fat and happy with a Pardon.

 political prisoner

I have no doubt that he was mistreated by the police and had ADA violations, but that is something separate. He stole from the charity. He spent it. He got caught.

A little reminder about how Kolfage spent some of his donor's money:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jackbrewst ... b85d5dec4a
Kolfage allegedly pocketed more than $350,000 from the scheme—which was directed to him through shell companies—while Bannon is accused of taking home over $1 million from “We Build The Wall,” according to prosecutors.

Kolfage’s Instagram account is filled with photos of his Florida beachside lifestyle, including several pictures of what appears to be his high-priced boat, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

Another snapshot posted by Kolfage appears to show his large pool, next to the caption: “17 kids today in our pool today!”

Kolfage’s wife, Ashley Kolfage—who is an Instagram influencer—has posted pictures of lavish vacations the family has taken, including a resort trip to Hawaii and a trip on a private charter plane to Nashville.

Meanwhile, Steve Bannon has still not served even a day of his four month sentence for defying a Congressional subpoena because Judge Nichols granted him a stay while he appeals to the D.C. Circuit. The DOJ's response to his appeal is due Friday.

Haven't run into the use of "it" when referring to the plaintiff. Pretty clunky. I get that the plaintiff is a company, but still. Curious if this is common?

Yes, it’s common. I use it all the time when talking about the government in pleadings. I had a case a while back in which a company featured prominently. I used it when talking about it.

Concur; I mean, what is the gender of this limited liability partnership that once represented Bannon?

Mueller, She Wrote was sloppy (or, to be generous, tight on characters) when writing, "Bannon’s lawyer." "Bannon's lawyer's firm" would have been more precise.

Thanks, Maybe and Bob, for confirming the use of "it" with plaintiff.

I continued to ponder the usage, however (it's what I do for a living, so don't judge me, I can't turn it off).

Editor-me would have been fine with "the Company" and "its". Likewise "Davidoff Hutcher and Citron" and "their.""DHC" and "it" would not have triggered my clunk-meter.

Thanks to the feedback, I realize that I (incorrectly) think of a plaintiff as a person. The problem was my lack of exposure to "plaintiff" being used for an organization. Which is, obviously, very common.

So my language usage expanded today. Yay.

Third associate of Steve Bannon sentenced to 63 months in prison for border wall scheme

A third associate of Steve Bannon was sentenced to 63 months in prison for the “We Build the Wall” online fundraising fraud scheme, according to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Timothy Shea was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and obstruction of justice, the release said.

Shea was sentenced for “his role in carrying out a scheme to defraud hundreds of thousands of donors in connection with an online crowdfunding campaign known as ‘We Build The Wall’ by soliciting donations using false statements and then stealing the resulting donations, as well as laundering the proceeds of the fraud scheme and attempting to obstruct the federal criminal investigation of the scheme,” the release added.

CNN has reached out to Shea’s attorneys for comment.

“Timothy Shea abused the trust of donors to ‘We Build the Wall,’ stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to line his own pockets, and attempted to obstruct the federal investigation of his criminal conduct,” US Attorney Damian Williams said in the release.

In addition to prison time, Shea must forfeit $1,801,707 and pay a restitution of the same amount. He was also given three years of supervised release.

Two other associates of Bannon, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, were sentenced earlier this year after pleading guilty for their part in the scheme, CNN previously reported.

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon's hopes of appealing his contempt of Congress conviction have been dealt a major blow after a judge questioned the top Donald Trump ally's key line of defense.

Bannon's legal team argued before a three-judge panel at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Thursday that he should have his 2022 conviction for defying a congressional subpoena issued to him by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack thrown out.

Bannon was found guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress in July 2022 and sentenced to four months the following October. He has not spent any time in jail, pending the result of his appeal.

David Schoen, an attorney for the MAGA figurehead, argued that Bannon should have been protected from prosecution because Trump invoked executive privilege in October 2021 preventing Bannon from testifying. This led to Bannon relying on advice from his then-attorney, Robert Costello, that he could not waive the privilege, which keeps information from the executive branch from becoming public.

However, Circuit Judge Cornelia Pillard seemed to dismiss the claims from Schoen that the executive privilege defense is "presumptively valid" while noting that Bannon, who left the White House in 2017, was a private citizen during the period covered by the January 6 House select committee's subpoena.
