The Arizona law change moved the trigger for an automatic recount from .1 to a half percent. Right now, the difference is over a half percent so Fox may be trying to give some comfort to their MAGA fans (and they could end up being right).

A recount is like a bonus, cause she will lose again.

Thanks for posting the MSNBC clip, I watched that this morning, but would love to watch again.

Did see a few minutes of Fox and Friends. They mention the SNL skit, Doocy and Ainslee seemed to be good sports about it, but Kilmeade was a sour puss - even made a point of the actor playing him was Asian, why he's Italian American or whatever it was he called himself! Kilmeade seemed very, very bitter about Kari losing the race.

She can't win a statewide general election as-is, she lost voters in her own party plus unaffiliated voters she couldn't afford to lose.

The takeaway from someone who pulled around $10 million and 49.% of the vote in a midterm election shouldn't be that they can't win statewide as-is.

Yes, undoubtedly Mitchell and others in the Senate Repulican leadership would prefer a 2024 senatorial candidate that isn't a drag on the ticket. But if Lake energizes her base to vote (and open their wallets), that could help with the even bigger prize, i.e., Arizona's 11 electoral votes.

So, come 2024, I don't expect Lake to be Mitchell's preferred candidate in the primary. But she may very well be the Republican's frontrunner presidential nominee's choice.

And, come November 2024, there are going to be lots of Republican dollars spent in Arizona.
