For all the mother tried to sound like they were financially struggling (thanks, Democrats), they seem pretty well off.

The Sheriff was on Don Lemon and denied this. He said they will be caught but THEY HAVE NO LEADS! He spent most of the time blaming the DA . Then she came in and blamed the Sheriff. It was a disgraceful display. But the DA did say she was working with the Sheriff’s detectives who knew the charges were coming which is consistent with those Detectives appearing in court this week. In other words the Sheriff may not know the details of everything going in.

As for the 4k from the ATM I don’t know of any ATM that will give that much money! May have been the cumulative amount they withdrew this week? But if they were in Rochester Hills today they couldn’t have gotten too far if the cops were, you know, out looking for them.

Finally they’ve turned their cell phones off , a further indication of their intent. These are some black hearted people.

Well, the mother telling the kid to hide his ammo searches better is appalling for starters. Can't wrap my head around that.

Given that there is a warrant for your arrest,

About a 12 hr drive, IIRC. Never done it as the driver, tho. (I grew up in Oakland County)

I watched both sheriff and DA as well. I thought the sheriff showed unabashed disrespect to the DA/DA's office, whereas the DA rebutted the sheriff's blame-game with facts. She had the option to say "no comment" and perhaps that was the call, but for me, it was the sheriff who was clearly in the wrong. No?

As I said the DA made some points. But it’s never good when the head LE guy and the DA are going after each other. Don Lemon did an excellent job interrogating both of them.

At the arraignment, I think the defense attorneys claimed they didn't know about the announcement of charges = their clients didn't know they had to turn themselves in. Or some such nonsense, its too early and I'm sleep deprived.

The two attorneys for defense were adamant there's no conflict representing both defendants vs bringing in another attorney for one of them.

Again, I'm sleep deprived, but I think there was mention from defense calling MS Crumbley and only getting through to her secretary. She works for a large corporation, I think marketing was mentioned.

I enjoyed seeing those shots. CNN has a short clip of them being escorted from the warehouse this morning.

Such conflicts, even if they exist, can be waived. Presumably counsel has discussed joint representation with the clients and either determined that their interests are the same (in which case there’s no conflict), or their interests are divergent but they wish to proceed with joint representation anyway and obtained the necessary waivers.

That all might change if the parents start pointing the finger at each other.

Ms. Crumbley has a secretary? The woman who is so woe-is-me middle class? Since the advent of the computer, the only people I know who have admins. are VPs and above, sometimes only C-suite. Was it maybe a company receptionist?

That's the words the defense attorney used.

Given the mother's MAGA history I would bet the kid was subjected to non-stop Fox Spews and Tucker Carlson. He probably never had a chance to develop into a healthy adult. I'm not intending to make excuses for him, he belongs behind bars. Just saying that when kids are exposed to crap like this it cannot possibly help them to grow up with anything but serious mental health issues. The parents obviously have not developed into responsible adults. Anyone who would send that message to her son regarding LOL, not mad at you, you just have to learn not to get caught - this is a sick relationship.

I wouldn't be surprised if the father doesn't throw the mother under the bus - she seems to be the one who had some kind of sick relationship with her son where she condoned his searching for ammo during school hours. The fact that he couldn't wait until he got home from school to worry about ammo for his gun seems a little obsessive. I love my hobbies as much as the next person, but I don't spend work time researching them.

Usually. :smoking:
