first time covid has interfered with my Crohn's care...GRRR

#1

Post by sad-cafe »

I Had a massive Crohn's flare up this week-I couldn't go to the hospital to get care because ---covi

so my doctor treated me over the phone and sent different pain meds to try to control it

was in severe pain from Wed-today. In reality, it could have been a perfed bowel but all he could do was call me every few hours to report on my status...fever, pain level and the like.

Good thing we have blood pressure, digital thermometer and pulse ox here to monitor

because of COVID I had to endure 4 days of excruciating pain when it could have just been in the hospital for a day-a quick CT to make sure it wasn't a perf and get pain relief

I FUCKING HATE COVID AND THE UNVAXXED

:yeahthat:

A good friend's nephew got hurt playing high-school football friday night.. hurt as in strapped to a board for transport because there might be neck/back breakage.

He laid in the ER on a gurney for six hours, after which he and his parents were told "we don't really know when he'll get seen."

I want off this timeline.

I’m so sorry, sad-cafe. Selfish sonsaditches ought to be required to write a letter of apology to every person who couldn’t be admitted because they had their bed.

Our doctor friend, who taught infectious disease at USC, told me Saturday that he definitely wouldn’t go to an ER right now, and depending on the location he might advise against Urgent Care. They’re beginning to be overrun, too.

I successfully relocated my shoulder myself but its still going to take 6-12 weeks to heal properly. Thank god it wasn’t an open wound or a broken bone.
