Some very interesting details revealed from the grand jury testimony...
One of the witnesses the grand jury heard was Fruita resident Gerald Wood, whose identity was used by a still-unknown person who was authorized by Peters and others in her office to gain access to secure areas of the county’s election division.

In so doing, Barrett said Peters, Knisley and former elections manager Sandra Brown unfairly placed Wood in legal jeopardy, and misled other county workers in doing so, including in conducting a background check on Wood knowing that he would never actually be hired to the clerk’s office. Such background checks are required before someone can be considered by authorities to be near election equipment.

“Wood stated he provided the information in the background check, met with HR, got a security badge, and met with Knisley and Peters,” Barrett wrote.

“At the end of their meeting, Knisley told him to provide his badge to her and that she would be in touch regarding his services,” Barrett added. “That was the last time he ever went into the office. He didn’t see her again for some two months. He later learned that his identity was used, without his consent, for someone else to access areas of the office.”

Barrett noted that Wood was never hired.

That unknown person, along with Peters, Knisley and Brown, allegedly used his security clearance to enter secure areas of the office, and make copies of computer hard drives. That occurred before and after a routine “trusted build” of election software, but after security cameras were turned off and done late at night when no one else was in the office, Barrett wrote.

I wonder if these two will end up serving jail time?

Do we know what Peters and Knisley were actually trying to do? I've lost track...

I think they were trying to prove the machines were dirty.

I don't know how they'll do it unless the guy wants to come forward on his own, but I'd love to hear from/about him.

Adjacent: ABC: Colorado guilty plea a first for US election task force:
A Nebraska man has pleaded guilty in federal court to making death threats against Colorado’s top elections official

A Nebraska man has pleaded guilty to making death threats against Colorado’s top elections official in a what officials say is the first such plea obtained by a federal task force devoted to protecting elections workers across the U.S. who have been subject to increasing threats since the 2020 presidential election.

Travis Ford, 42, pleaded guilty in Denver federal court to sending threats to Secretary of State Jena Griswold on social media. Griswold is a national advocate for elections security who has received thousands of threats over her insistence that the 2020 election was secure and that former President Donald Trump's claims that it was stolen from him are false.

I can't believe Peters is actually so gullible that she didn't realize the folks wanting her to break the law would be the first to throw her under the bus.

Probably not...she doesn't strike me as someone who'd watch their ass while breaking the law for someone else.

Don't you know that the evil, socialist democrats conspired with Smartmatic and Dominion to throw the election to a weaker republican, who would be easier to defeat in the general election? The dems are terrified that Ms. Peters would expose their theft of the 2020 election.

Their interesting data is, to me, really boring data. It shows a result that is entirely unsurprising. Numbers are all moving together. There are all small rises when various precincts update and big rises when larger jurisdiction drop their results. Maybe they think those jumps are proof of something but to have a general rise all day as if they are doing real-time reporting, you would have to have machines connected to the internet to make that work. I think that's a no-no.

Really doesn't matter what they think it says because if it was the opposite, that would also be telling evidence of fraud. Not being elected is now a sign of fraud.

I don't know if they are relly this stupid, or just lie because they think their followers are that stupid (which may be their one correct assumption).

Yeah, I know some are going to scream that since she raised the most cash, she had the biggest support and therefore should have won. Flynn, Lindell, and their big-money supporters are not Colorado voters so that comparison does not wash.

Why do we bother having elections? Just do some fundraising. Whoever collects the most money wins the election. Save a lot of time. No chance of election fraud (although there would be a chance of fundraising fraud).

While most sane people decry the influence of big money on our elections, this is hardly the first election where the biggest fundraiser lost an election.
