He is the flip-floppiest guy ever, he can't keep his story straight (no pun intended) on anything. Somebody should do a TV segment called Lindsey Vs. Lindsey where they just show his wildly opposite positions when it suits him. Can't think of another greasy senator as morally bankrupt in that way as Lindsey. Nobody trusts him. Any comments he makes should have a warning/disclaimer: "Warning: Lindsey Graham is likely lying; wait at least one year to confirm if his statement now is still his position."

Much of this phenomenon could also be explained by the possibility that Putin has compromat on not only Trump but also a number of his key sycophants in Congress.

Riots in the streets? That is wishful thinking. Probably just an uptick in random RW MAGA violence here and there.
I cannot wait to see when moar is revealed with Lindsey. What do they (the Republicans) have on him?
Hmm... That suggests something. Lindsey's behavior is all about, and has been for some time, protecting Trump.

What does Trump have on him?

I wonder if the FBI now knows?

If Trump has ever given secret US information to Putin, then Putin definitely has compromat on Trump.

I am certain Putin has compromat on Trump. If he didn't have it before Helsinki, he certainly had it after Helsinki. The demeanor of the two men coming out of that private meeting spoke volumes.

And Trump telling the whole world that he believes Putin over the United States Intelligence community was devastating for the United States. I think it can reasonably be said that a sitting President of the USA harmed his own country and benefitted enemy nations while standing on a podium in front of a lectern.
Oops, sorrry - off topic.

Lindsey should IMMEDIATELY start telling the media the plain truth:
  • Donald Trump can declassify anything anytime, and anything he touched as a private citizen would be instantly declassified.
  • Trump didn't have any secret documents at Mierda Lardo anyway, the FBI planted them.
  • If the FBI hadn't hidden the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop Trump would clearly have gotten 8 or 9 million more votes and kicked Biden’s ass.
  • Hillary ... acid washed emails ... Russia Russia Russia ... look, squirrel!
  • Since Trump is rightfully still president and ol' decrepit Joe is half-dead anyway, we need to put Trump right back into the White House. Then you'll see a miracle regarding my subpoena in Georgia!
  • If Trump is prosecuted and put in prison, we'll have riots in the streets and you will deserve it! But if 81 million Biden voters get cheated because Trump is a thief and a traitor who tried to overthrow the government of the United States of America, I'm good with it.
.

OK, that's a long list. He better get started on it. :waiting:
Out from under.

From somewhere else...
Lindsay Graham, desperate: "There will be rioting in the streets if Trump is prosecuted."
Here is my answer to that.
*
So the fuck what?
*
No, seriously, you said this stupid-ass thing and you will damn well get an answer to it.
*
So the fuck what?
*
There was rioting in the streets when Boston integrated its schools.
There is a photograph of some yowling son of a bitch, his face twisted into a grimace, using a flagpole to assault some perso on the perceived other side. That was rioting.
Similarly, there was mob violence when black activists fought to integrate the Woolworth's lunch counter; there was an assault on the first woman to compete in the Boston Marathon; there was attempted mob violence toward the first black little girl to attend a white school in the South.
And if I keep coming to black Civil Rights examples, it is perhaps because the people who think mob violence is the answer were pretty damn active whenever black people wanted to stand up for themselves.
There is ALWAYS mob violence.
The answer was not, "This is not the year to stand up for this particular justice. Let things remain the way they are."
Though people like Lindsay Graham were around saying just that.
The answer is, "No, this thing is right. We need to stand up for what's right, support what's right, and let the mob have its tantrum, because we have learned from riots over the demolition of Confederate Monuments that these guys will never NOT riot, not if you wait "another couple of years" or another hundred."
You don't make decisions because of fear over what the mob will do.
The mob is wrong and the mob can go fuck itself.
*
The mob that shouted "Lock Her Up!" and wanted Trump to be able to throw people in jail pre-emptively -- and was upset that democracy did not fall at once and that he still had to govern, to a miraculously large extent, within the rules, much as he would have preferred not -- that mob wants us to know that if the case against Trump proceeds and that it becomes a necessary act of conscience to charge him, they will hit the streets and that those streets will run red with blood.
Lindsay Graham wants us to fear that mob and to pre-emptively surrender to that mob's demands.
But that is not the way the law works. That is not the way justice works. That is not the way America works. That is not the way conscience works.
The mob doesn't get veto power over who is subject to the law.
If prosecuting Trump for acts unbecoming a President "tears this country apart," then it is not the fault of a system that took notice.
It is his fault for putting himself, and us, in this position.
The price of not proceeding is the creation of two de facto Americas, one party that will be endlessly held responsible even for imagined crimes, and another that because it kicks up a fuss will never be, because morons, yahoos, fascists, bullies and gullible consumers of propaganda take to the streets.
The left hit the streets to protest wars, to fight back against police murders committed in broad daylight, to combat what they saw as economic oppression. We need not argue about whether they were wrong in any particular, whether they acted badly in any particular. Things are complicated and I will concede that you could cite chapter and verse about the times when they were. Question: did any of this stop the right from ever advocating what they wanted to advocate, respond with violence when they wanted to respond with violence? Of course it did not. They had their agenda to pursue and they thought it was right and they never said, never ever ever, said, "We will stop doing this because people might take the streets." No, they never did. Because that would have been, by their lights, a cowardly surrender to the mob. And that, by their lights, would have been unacceptable.
But then, because it suits their purposes, they suddenly become concerned about what the mob will do, when it's their mob. That's when it's time to worry about America "tearing itself apart."
That's when somebody other than themselves needs to back down.
*
"There will be rioting in the streets."
Yeah? Really?
That doesn't exactly come as a surprise.

Seems too short for him. He writes incredible stuff, but he tends to be a bit on the long-winded side.
