I'm not going to link anything, but Rittenhouse is crowing about "shall not be infringed" this morning in regards to the SCOTUS rulings. Because of course he is. He is also releasing a video game for the low low price of $9.99 where you can play him with a big gun and shoot turkeys labeled "fake news" "msdnc" etc. Because of course he is.

yeah, the smug rolling in over the latest round of SCOTUS rulings has been pretty strong. It is all about winning at any cost.

Well it's nice to see he's not trying to hide the fact he has no problem with nazis of it helps keep him from being discarded. Murderous little shit. Still say prsoecutors really dropped the ball not emphasizing "now just how far did you have to travel across state lines to put yourself into a position of 'self defense'?"

Let’s see if I understand this…

A pregnant person can’t cross state lines to get an abortion because they’re killing a human life…but people like Kyle Rittenhouse can cross state lines, murder people, and be acquitted of any wrong-doing.

Tell me where I lied…I’ll wait

A novel Stand Your Ground theory is to be found in there somewhere.

And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

Huh I was legitimately thinking he might have died in a ditch somewhere and no one noticed. I guess there are some shitty cops who will help him try to cling desperately to his last piss droplets of fame

Thanks Anders. The comment section on that article is trash. Also:

A surprisingly "spot on" (IMO) take on Kyle Rittenhouse by someone who is generally a right winger. Richie McGinnis was at Kenosha, interviewed Rittenhouse minutes before he killed two and seriously maimed a third, and was standing very close to Rittenhouse's first victim. He has something to say about Rittenhouse's hero status, and it's not what you might think. Takes just a few minutes to read and worth hearing his take on it.

What is this Rittenhouse connection even?

dana @dana916 wrote: 🇦🇷🚓🐍⚠️ — On today's dawn, September 5, 2022, the Federal Police of Argentina (PFA)'s Anti-Terrorism unit conducted a raid on Kyle Rittenhouse cultural center, a major Hoppean Libertarian/Anarcho-capitalist cultural center, located in Central Zone of Buenos Aires, the Capital of Argentina.

Such thing happened after a Libertarian Member of the organization made a livestream celebrating the attack against the Leftist Vice-President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, on youtube and calling the National-Socialist militant that supposedly tried to kill the Vice-President as a "Argentina's Brazilian Hero"
Member of Argentina's 'Kyle Rittenhouse Cultural Center' arrested after celebrating a man who cocked a gun in the VP's face: report
  • José Derman was arrested after praising a man who pointed a gun at Argentina's VP's face, reports say.
  • He was found to be a member of a "Kyle Rittenhouse Cultural Center" in La Plata, Argentina.
  • It's unclear if the teen, who became a far-right hero after shooting at people at a 2020 BLM rally, has any links to the center.

Oh I don't know. Our Rittenhouse is still our responsibility. It would be nice I guess if we could just deport him to Argentina. But, no such luck.

Moar in this thread, sounds like a big time admirer of Rittenhouse:

Well, we could... it might not be legal but if he happened to wake up there smelling like Pupperoni one day, let the little twerp sue the government from Argentina.

But he is certainly right that the excerpted mini-narrative misrepresents the facts, isn't he?

- It was *always* highly debatable whether his possession was illegal and ultimately the possession charge was dismissed.
- The police didn't "deputize" the armed citizens. They might just have tolerated them because what they were doing was legal.
- It is really gross to say Rittenhouse just fired indiscriminately at citizens on the street. He manifestly fired only at people who attacked him after trying and failing to flee and a jury ultimately found his self-defense case good enough to acquit him of all charges.
- This also makes play with the picture of Rittenhouse as a carpetbagger who traveled, perhaps armed, from another state, when in fact he had ties to Kenosha and didn't even make the short trip to his job then best friend's house for the purpose of attending the protests.

I don't think much of post-acquittal Kyle's choices, but I don't begrudge him resentment at the wrong done to him by sources still wallowing in the fact-free myths of the case like these.

Meh, if he got out of his echo chamber of supports and believers, he might stop 'begrudging' and start feeling some regret for his actions. But he has no end of people who wallow in, as you say, rather fact-light or fact-selective interpretations of his actions. All they care about really is that he got to kill people and liberals are upset, thus his narrative must be true.
