5 Years? That is not announcing a future internship because you don't know who will be in office then. I think he is saying he is running.

He might want to take a math class first. He does not turn 25 until January 2028, so he can't run until that year. I suppose you can run before you turn 25 as long as you turn 25 by the first day of the new Congress. However, running in 2026, he would only be 23 and turn 24 on the first day of the new Congress.

ETA: He may also want to consider moving first. If he still lives in Antioch, that is the 10th district which is the same as mine. Lake County and the north shore Cook County communities, which are much larger than McHenry, have been going blue lately. Even when we did have GOP reps, it was still very purple as the GOP reps were moderates.

Kyle Rittenhouse goes viral after asking if Twitter files will reveal 'hidden censoring' against him
Rittenhouse calls for Elon Musk to expose any internal censorship by Twitter against him after the media labeled him a ‘white supremacist’

Kyle Rittenhouse said he was hopeful that what he described as Twitter’s censorship campaign against him would be exposed just days after CEO Elon Musk released the "Twitter Files."

"Learning about the twitter files and @elonmusk releasing the truth is making me more and more curious to find out if there was hidden censoring regarding my story and case on twitter. I am hoping, one day soon, I will be able to find out and the truth will be shown to all of us," he wrote.

Also, I seem to recall wall-to-wall coverage of his antics, I hardly think he was being censored. In the video at the link, Rittenhouse and Carlson grouse that Grossman has yet to be charged for pointing a gun in Rittenhouse's face!

He mentioned "hidden censoring of my story and case on Twitter". That's not the same as censoring *him*. I presume he's talking about the period before his acquittal when he was silent. He would be talking about censorship of information and opinion favorable to his case and story, not censorship of *him*.

Well, FB early on prejudged his case as a "mass murder" and censored searches for his name. Posts defending him could wind up treated as violations of their community standards. GoFundMe banned him from raising money on their site. A cop was fired somewhere for privately donating to his defense fund with a supportive statement. All this was based on an unjustified and, to my mind, thoroughly contemptible prejudgement before a case that should have been clearly recognized as controversial was adjudicated.

So he's feeding right-wing grievances with this, of course. But I can't see it as ridiculous to think Twitter might have throttled pro-Rittenhouse content in some fashion.

Yay!!! Kyle is learning how to grift!
Step one— Keep making posts about something you know nothing about but are hot button issues.
Maybe Ye will bring him into the Ari Alexander, Milo, Spencer, Loomer group and he will get some real schooling (‘cause I don’t see him actually getting a degree or becoming a pilot).

You know, back in the day I made a post offering a bit of sympathy towards Kyle. I got a just a little pushback.

Yeah, he is still a kid. He made bad choices. He has a messed-up mom and an absentee dad.

All sucks. I am out of sympathy cards and now let the chips fall where they will.

I think I was somewhat sympathetic in that I felt he was a clueless idiot trying to look big in front of everyone, but I felt he was guilty of second degree murder. But any sympathy vanished when I saw him at the trial. That fake blubbering pretty much neutered any sympathy I had. It was clear he didn't give a shit about what he had done.

Yep, pretty much. He had the wrong people advising him.
If he had OWNED that, he would have gotten a lot of cred.

But, no. He let lawyers milk him and now he has a shoot-em-up game for sale.

He's got Biden on da brain.
