Surely they know the the Dark Lord of the Mitch will reward them for putting him back in power.
Sinema has always been on the dark side. The thing is she is streaks ahead of twice defeated Republican McSally.

Sinema is running a commercial out here about how she is “an independent voice” “leading the way on infrastructure” and how all Arizonans “should thank her.“

I am disheartened about the perception of Democrats, and frustrated that Democrats won't do something about their terminally pathetic messaging.

Right now, Democrats only SEEM to have the majority and SEEM to be in control. They are NOT. They have 48 votes in the Senate, with two people who only technically fit the description of Democrat, but in fact are NOT Democrats. Democrats need to find a way to shove this truth into people's heads the way Republicans so beautifully and successfully shove lies into people's heads. How can anyone who is paying attention end up being so frustrated with Biden and the rest of the Democrats when it's only Sinema and Manchin that are putting an end to any possibility of success by Democrats. I'm frustrated with Democrat voters at this point. As usual. Sadly. Not all of them, of course. But I'm also frustrated that Democrats just can't seem to get the hang of messaging. They are all like ME. They need to be like the Republicans, who come up with three or four short sentences that are powerful, tug at people's emotions, and are faithfully repeated ad nauseum, in tandem, by every single right winger.
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

Infrastructure is a bad idea.
Roads without car-eating potholes — who wants that?
Bridges that aren't rusty and don't fall down — who wants that?
Buildings that aren't openly decaying — who wants that?
Modernized shipping and transit systems — who wants that?
Jobs for people without college degrees — who wants that?

Are Biden and his Democrat enablers trying to make America great again? WHO WANTS THAT?

From the earliest days of the USA there has been debate between those who favor government spending on internal improvements and those who oppose such spending.

George Washington favored spending to improve navigation on the Potomac River.

One of the first great successes was the Erie Canal, built by New York State, which in
1825 connected the great lakes with the Hudson River so that goods could be shipped by water all the way from Chicago to NYC.

Opponents of the canal derided it as a "big ditch" but it jumpstarted development of New York State and helped make the Port of New York the most important in the country.

North Cackilacki was notoriously infamous for spending virtually nothing on infrastructure until after about 1825. We didn't want any of those silly roads and bridges and things. :nope:

To be fair, I understand that "infrastructure" often is code for "pork barrel." (See, e.g., Bridge to Nowhere.)

But the opposition to this bill seems, well, oppositional. If a Republican president had touted it, these naysayers would be voting for it.

I'm curious if there's anything being singled out as unnecessary or wasteful. (And, yes, the usual debt hawks will be hawky.) But this seems like just pure anti-Biden-ism.
