She went a little ballistic and accused the reporter of violating her HIPAA rights? It was pointed out then that SHE could answer the question.
*nod* HIPAA is all about what you can and can not do with other people's medical data, though if I recall correctly there are other regulations that cover what an employer can and can not ask you for but that is covered by ADA, not HIPAA.

In case anyone was wondering about the crackdown on rapists...

A year after Greg Abbott said Texas would end rape — his defense of an abortion ban that excluded rape exemptions — advocates say rapes are nearly as common as ever.

More than 14,000 rape crimes have been reported in Texas since the ban took effect.

Well, they'd be able to catch the rapists if they didn't all get their wives to get the car running in the driveway to make an escape when they came to arrest them.

A likely scenario in Texas, the rape capitol of the US.

Sigh.

Wouldn't it be special if each state could have its own foreign policy?

Oh, wait. No, it would not.

That's one reason we have a federal government.

Go back to Civics class, Greg. :fingerwag:

Enter into a compact with other states to secure the border;
Who are they going to join with? Non-border states? The other border states, NM, AZ, and CA are all blue and pretty unlikely to sign onto his nonsense.

Well, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota are also border states with Republican governors. I don't think securing their borders, though, is a major issue for their states. However, on principle, they'd probably sign with Texas.

Gun boats to secure the borders? Did the DOJ donate some Vietnam area surplus? And wait till the Mexican army shoots at the flotillia once they cross the center line of the Rio Grande :blackeye:

Apart, he will be waiting for those nastygram from D.C. and the law suits that will forbid him to act like a fool, but he then can claim "the courts did it", and money please...

I'm pretty confident it is real, but it _was_ released on his personal account and not as an official press release from his office, so :shrug:

Dishonorable and disgusting.
