This claim is accurate. In 2014, when Joe Biden was serving as vice president, Carlson and his wife, Susie, reached out to Hunter Biden for help in getting their son into Georgetown University. Their email communication was revealed through forensic analysis of a laptop once owned by Biden that he had purportedly left at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019. The laptop was obtained by Trump's then-lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and its contents pushed out to the New York Post in 2020. The correspondence on Biden's hard drive, a copy of which was also in the possession of the FBI, was largely used to investigate his overseas business dealings during his father's time in the White House, but also have illuminated more about the Carlson-Biden relationship. 

The emails were given to The Washington Post on a hard drive by activist Jack Maxey, who received it from Giuliani. The Washington Post revealed the details of Carlson's and Biden's communication in May 2022, and was able to confirm with the help of forensic analysis and interviews with people familiar with the communications that this and other emails on the hard drive were real. 

So what did Carlson actually say? The Post shared an image of a few of the emails in which he thanks Biden for writing a letter to Georgetown "on Buckley's [his son's] behalf." He added, "So nice of you. I know it'll help."

Now just show us the actual laptop and what's actually on it. If you have it.

Oh, you can buy a fresh copy from Isaac and show me that instead?

No, the original, por favor. WHERE IS THE ACTUAL LAPTOP? Does the FBI have it, and if so, can they be forced to admit it?

Can they be forced to bring it to a hearing in the House of Representatives or the Senate?

Can they be forced to tell exactly what is, and what is not, on the laptop they received, if they received one?



I've gotten as far as, the computer repair guy Isaac gave a laptop to the FBI years ago, and the FBI has not arrested anyone based on the contents of that laptop. Also, Isaac supposedly gave a copy to Roodles, and somebody sent it to the Washington Post, which authenticated some emails but not the contents of the hard drive. And now Isaac says he has more copies of the hard drive just waiting for the FBI to do something about it, but they haven't because FBI reasons.

Stop me if I'm wrong here.

So let's say we get a big ol' honkin' investigation, the best investigation ever, of Hunter Biden and his laptop, and Congressman Gym Jordan subpoenas the laptop itself from the FBI, bring it to the committee hearing.

I think things are going to get really, really interesting from there ...

Further, while I know Isaac is claiming that he can produce "fresh" copies of the laptop hard drive, what exactly is on that hard drive? Is there, for example, an operating system? If you're going to try to persuade me that you have a copy of a hard drive with some incriminating emails on it, you should be smart enough to know that emails take up about 1% or less of file space on most hard drives, and what else is there? There should be literally tens of thousands of other files, and if they're missing you don't have a copy of a hard drive.

In fact, it would be really good if you could put the "fresh" copy you had onto a physical hard drive that actually worked, so you could attach it to a computer and turn it on! And if there was a user named Hunter in the list of authorized users, oh mah goodness on a popsicle stick, that would be like actual evidence that it came from a laptop that really did belong to Hunter, huh?

But so far, there hasn't been anything like that. The closest is about 7.65 AU from here.

Are there applications installed other than an email program? Are there, for example, photos and videos stored on the hard drive which are NOT attached in any way to any emails? Whoa, Nelly! Can you imagine the photos and videos you might find on Hunter's laptop hard drive, that the guy Isaac didn't claim he had? Wouldn't it be easier for Isaac to take a sneak peek at the photos and videos on a hard drive than it would be to sneak into the owner's emails?

I mean, this could be really exciting, and I wasn't gonna vote for Hunter for president anyway.

All this RWNJ media noise in this arena irritates me intensely.

If you are something approaching a professional in this space you know that without an iron clad chain of evidence and demonstrable proof of the inviolability of the record all you have is a random set of value free bits.

First, you don't touch the data, you don't touch the hardware, you don't touch the software, you don't touch the power. The first thing you do is record everything about the device, how did you come into possession, the current state etc, you make a contemperaneous record, photos, hard copy records, the lot.

Now at least two people are involved, one to "do" one to witness, record and/or guide as required.

The first technical step is knowledge of or investigation of the device as the next stage is imaging the hard drive either in situ or you will be pulling it out to use specialist kit for imaging.

Then you pull at least two identical images of the hard drive, seal away one which becomes the master, both have a cryptographic software hash taken off them which is a demonstrable record that the drive has not been altered in any way. If the data is altered in any way it will have a different hash to the original.

Now, with the master secured you get to work on the bit for bit identical working copy which is set to be read only as simply powering up and accessing a drive will otherwise make changes to the data

We are also assuming that the drive isn't encrypted which raises a whole set of other issues.

You then use specialist software to start to investigate the content, data, meta data, browser history, cookies, authentication tokens, passwords, date and time stamps of files etc.

If you mess up and make changes to the data you start again with a fresh copy from the master, all version controlled and so on and so forth.

I have missed out a pile of intermediate processes all of which must be consistently flowed through and followed.

Half blind guy followed this.... methinks not and as for giving a "copy" to sweaty hair dye guy... how, in what form, what format, chain of custody, evidence of sealing, demonstration of inviolability of content, copies of records of actions and activity etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.....

If I am not mistaken, no one has proven that the laptop in question, wherever it is, or whoever has it, actually belonged to Hunter Biden.

The legally blind computer repairman has said that some guy who SAID his name was Hunter Biden brought it in for repair and never picked it up. The repairman refuses to say definitively that the customer really WAS Hunter Biden.


AFAIK, Hunter Biden has not confirmed that the laptop is/was his. If it was, why hasn't he simply paid the outstanding repair bill and demanded its return? No law enforcement agency has subpoenaed it, so it is still legally his (if it ever was) and whoever has it has it illegally.

I am not a forensic expert, but I do know a little bit about computers. One thing I know is that you can't simply hook that hard drive up to another computer. Well, you can, but Windows WILL change any hard drive connected to it. It writes a signature on the drive. Who knows what else it writes. So, special procedures and precautions must be used to insure that no such changes are possible.

At this point, it most likely "legally" belongs to the computer repairman. "Anything left over X number of days becomes the property of the business" whether it's a laptop or shoes or a car. You can't just leave stuff to be repaired indefinitely and expect to retain ownership of it.
