The only reason I know the word gorp is from doing crossword puzzles.

Oh man. I was afraid no I wasn't.

But so far, we have never-gorpers pipistrelle, MN-Skeptic, and Kriselda Gray.

Whereas, only Maybenaut and I have taken gorp to be a standard American vocabulary word which means "trail mix".

I shall apologize to ol' Wifehorn. I sorta kidded her about not knowing that word.

Now I learn, there's a pandemic of not knowing what gorp is. :blackeye:

On the bright side, I got a lot left in the bag.

I still wonder about ol' Wifehorn's childhood, though.

All the childish stuff I still remember, she knows none of it.

Did you say,

I'm rubber and you're glue,
Anything you say bounces off me
And sticks to you!

I have at least a dozen sayings like that, and every one draws a blank look from my wife. I still remember 'em, though. They might come in handy someday.

I mean, honestly. Was she ever six years old? :confuzzled:

I'm anti-Gorp. Not the word but the product. Having salty and sweet in the same mouthful is awful. I'd have to divide the raisons from the nuts and consume them each separately. You Gorp fans are heathens!

Bububut ... but this is Black Forest Snack Mix, just like they eat in the Black Forest!

And it's got almonds and dark chocolate and cashews and dates and ...

Hay, where'd it go?

In our Europen Gorp world the nuts are not salted nor specially roasted, just the natrual thing out of the shell.

Today in Fizzikal Therapy, I had a session this morning and I have another at 8 mañana, and next week is Thanksgiving so we'll see. I have been doing exercises all week for it, but today I almost have a day off, just one exercise, and it's a stretching exercise. Tomorrow I'll get exercises for the weekend.

A whole week already, and I'm not 100% cured yet. :|

But moving  in the right direction.

That's how we eat the raisins, right out of the shell.

Well, you'll love to hear this. Sometimes when I have roasted peanuts salted in the shell, I eat some of them as whole thing (nice and salty). No this is not healthy because we can't digest the shell.

And let me tell you how I eat oranges -- yep, like an apple.

Imma weird. :loser:

Sprout still remembers our joking from when he was a kid and will write “pre-raisins” on his grocery list. He prefers the green ones.

And while I dearly love salty snacks and I love caramel, salted caramel is an abomination.

I have heard it as gorp, although I usually call it trail mix. And sea salt caramels, yum! ;)

Put me down for a gorp dude. Munched on it when hiking in the majesty of the Eastern Sierra way back when. Called it gorp cuz my girlfriend at the time called it gorp.

Foggy, my wife musta growed up with your'n.

She never heard of "King's X." (I dusted that one off years ago when we were having words.)
She doesn't believe in do-overs, or the tried-and-true, "Last time you got your way. This time I get mine."

She attended a non-denominational Christian school during her primary grades. She did not benefit from the ad hoc rules and games that we designed during recess and after school.

Although, we did have one thing in common as children: We could take a large cardboard box that a refrigerator or washing machine came in and make a swell fort.

Love gorp while out hiking, especially if it has chocolate chips in it.
