Is that like a happy ending at the massage parlour...??

We'll be going to a restaurant for dinner. It's OVER.

I have fizzikal therapy at 8. I have to be very careful what I eat beforehand, because it can be brutal.

I have started calling my arms my 'harms' instead. That's what they feel like.

Ouch, my harms hurt. :violin: :crying:

Might I recommend that you stay out of harms' way?

I am going to continue the saga of my dad's failing health here, since it's not a covid thing so much anymore.

He had an echo cardiogram (like a sonogram of the heart), and the function of his left ventricle is down from 50% in 2019 to 20% today. That's not reversible, and we don't know if it went down 30 points over the past few weeks or over the last three years, because it hasn't been measured since 2019.

And they aren't giving him physical therapy in the hospital, so he has really gone downhill on being able to move around. I guess on the ground that he'll get therapy in the rehab. But maybe not so much with only 20% of a left ventricle.

But my sister hasn't talked to the actual cardiologist yet, and she might not until Monday because it's the weekend.

We have several people going through much worse than my dad, but I've been writing about him and have a very brief update.

Cardiologist told Letitia that since he has no swelling or shortness of breath, he could go back to rehab, so he did. If he gets through that he can resume his life as before.

She wants another echo-cardiogram in 2-3 weeks.

Meh. Just got out from my GP who gave me a referal to a physio for my shoulders. And now I'm waiting for ages for the nurse to find time to poke some shingles and pneumonia vaccine into my arm.

And what am I greeted with when I open up fogbow to kill time. This threat.
Has everybody heard about the bird?

Me: "So, what's the good news, doctor?"

My primary care provider: "You're a decrepit wreck. We have a backhoe on the way to bury you outside the back door somewhere, probably on the other side of the dumpster. Do you want to call your wife?"

Oh, wait, it was just a dream. I don't see my PCP until later this morning.

Whew, that was close! :smoking:

LEFTOVER CHOCOLATE?

What the heck is 'leftover chocolate'?
It's metaphysically absurd, man. 8-)

Yesterday I was telling my primary care doctor about how I somehow got strung out on gorp for a few weeks (having, as y'all know, an addictive gene) and I have quit now but I know my A1C can't be too high or they won't do surgery in March.

Because, the gorp I was eating had a lot of dark chocolate.

"Oh, dark chocolate is good for you!" she said. I love my new doctor. ❤️

But she wanted to check my kidney function and some other stuff to make sure I'm ready for the surgery, and they were gonna check my A1C out of the blood draw. Which is nice.

So they called me on the phone AT FOUR THIRTY FIVE THIS MORNING with a message to call them back.

It will be interesting to find out what my A1C is. :towel:
