Republicans said Biden just went to the border for a photo op.
But, but, but . . .

They've been complaining for two years that President Biden hasn't visited the border.

What do they expect him to do at the border, personally wrestle an illegal immigrant to the ground and push him back across the border into Mexico?

Cause, that's what a real 'murrican like lyin' Ted Cruz would do.

In my wayward youth, cheap beer was Schlitz.

I drank a lot of cheap beer.

When I was 21, I lived in a room in a house full of guys, and we had a refrigerator in the basement that was adapted to a keg of beer. Beautiful. It was a beautiful thing, with a tap on the front. And the plan was, we would pool our money at the beginning of the month, and buy a keg of beer, and it would last most of the month before we had to go back to buying cheap beer in cans.

And, being grownups now, you can see the obvious flaw in the plan.

I worked at a liquor store in southern California from 1970-1976. This was when the sales prices of all alcoholic beverages were set by the State of California. Schlitz was priced like Coors, about a nickel cheaper than Budweiser per six-pack. But the cheaper brands included Hamm's, Burgermeister, Pabst, Blatz, and Eastside. Cheapest of all was Brew 102, brewed in downtown Los Angeles just off the Santa Ana Freeway at Vignes. We used to say that it was brewed with Los Angeles River water. It was the absolute most horrible concoction of water, grain, hops, and yeast.

Yes, but you never saw anyone drink any of that swill. They just loaded it in Cletus Snow's (Jerry Reed) truck and headed east.

I saw an interview with Burt Reynolds in which he said that, for years, Pontiac would send him a brand new Firebird every year. Then one year, the car didn't show up. He called someone and was told that the new head man at Pontiac didn't know anything about such an agreement and that no more cars would be forthcoming.

The Trans Am was going to be dropped from the Firebird lineup until that movie came out. GM did send him a new car every year for like 10 years, but that's not uncommon, the companies 'loan' a lot of cars out to get them seen.

Ford (through Hertz which we owned at the time) used to send OJ Simpson a new Bronco every year, too.

They named a play after it, though. So there's that.

Gone With The Wind perhaps? I don't remember any play called A Bucket Of Piss.

Poor Ted, poor Ted, this is so sad.

He's so dull, so uninteresting, and now his thread has been reduced to insulting cheap beer.

Which is an important aspect of Western Civilization, I would never impugn the incredible value of insulting cheap beer. If you are a beer lover, you know that crabbin' about crappy beer is what led to craft beers. That's alliterative (crabbin', crappy, craft, there's a song in there somewhere), but it's not the point. I'm not sure there is a point. More covfefe.

Beer has greatly improved over the course of my lifetime, if you know how to find the good stuff. I have had beers in this town that were better than any beer you could buy in 1971. Remember when the best beer you could buy was Heineken? Or maybe Foster's Lager? The world is a better place today.

But Ted Cruz! He's a US Senator! He's an important impressive amazing boring guy!

And everybody knows, it's more valuable to the Fogbow community and the world to crab about shitty beer than to talk about boring Ted.

I bet woodworker is very sad about it. :(
Out from under.

I hated ALL beer. I never could get used to the taste of it. So, when I went out with my friends, they'd be having their beers and I'd either be sipping cocktails - my favorites being White Russians or Holly's Hope (coffee, Southern Comfort, Bailey's Irish Cream, Peppermint Schnapps and Kaluha) or drinking Malt Duck or Babychams.

Something about Cruz ceying about mistreatment of immigrants and mothers nursing babies while sleeping on the floor...floors me. POS.

Hunter Biden’s business was selling access to his father.

At a minimum, the FBI needs to search Hunter’s home and business addresses for classified documents.
