Yes, and they are open about it. “Alternative facts” indeed! So depressing.

We had a visitor yesterday.

We haven’t sprayed since we’ve been here, just dealt with the crickets and gently relocated spiders outside. This is a horse of another color though, the Arizona Bark Scorpion, aka the most venomous scorpion in North America. With a kid and pets, it’s time to spray! We’re tapping out our shoes and lifting blankets carefully.

Oh well, at least we still have the sunset.

And although we have yet to procure a boat of our own, a neighbor is taking us out tomorrow night for a wine-n-sunset boat tour. Sweet!

In other news, my computer has decided to forget this account again and only remembered spiduh, so I guess I’m on there on it until I fix it up. Oh well.

The big holiday boat parade/block party was over the weekend. Shamelessly stolen pictures from our community FB page, my pictures turned out blurry and crappy. It was pretty cool!

That must be so magical for the kids. Sparkly lights, boats, Santa lurking somewhere.

We went a couple of times to the Newport Harbor cruise. There we were in our kayaks bobbing around among yachts and very large motorboats.

Kinda dumb, actually. Constantly worried we’d be swamped.
