Drunk Capt. Karl and the imaginary AMFF

These people are weird, but we like to find out what weird people are doing and thinking. It's a hobby.

Other than the money he has to buy toys and live a life of leisure, he's not much different than the vagrants who live behind my convenience store. I don't know why he didn't just get a hotel and/or rental car when he was in Florida, but I figure a) he was cash-poor, or b) he was trying to make a show of his suffering.
Maybe he had already spent the monthly allowance he gets from his trust fund.

All the above might be at least partially correct, but I suspect a large part of Karl's problem is the emptiness of his life. As the saying has it, the devil makes work for idle hands. Karl has no job to to, no family to look after, no friends to visit, no college to attend, no project to complete. He has bottles of booze, the OpVec and the frustration and humiliation of bending the knee to courts around the country.

So he fills the long days with cartoonish fantasies about he – and a brave band of admiring comrades – will dominate us poor stupid souls, we who have not yielded to the brilliance of Karl's konstitutional, ekonomic and medikal wisdom.

I always love the British military acronyms like this, so much more orally satisfying that some of the equivalent US military ones...

One of my favourites, compare

MOUT ....... Military Operations Urban Terrain

As opposed to

FISH............ Fighting In Someone's House
or
FISH & CHIPS... Fighting In Someone's House and Causing Havoc In People's Streets

My manager for the day job is a former Marine. It seems all those acronyms include the F-word in some fashion. Obviously, he is very good at keeping his Marine language out of normal business work.

I suspect he may be able to afford living expenses but does not want his name on any legal documents that can trace his locations.

I would like to wish Drunk Karl Happy Birthday but can't because he sucks. He turned 65 today - a life wasted so far. I hope the day sucked for him and that he had to poop in a trench.

That sounds like those "May you live in interesting times" quotations. "May you have to poop in an already full trench".

On the subject of OpVec accommodation, it has a crew cab IIRC, so it would depend how that is fitted out. I suspect it is seating and full of junk already. Even if it could be re-arranged, it might not be big enough to sleep in easily. Kapt Karl is something like 6' 5" isn't he?

I would think a battle-hardened warrior like Karl wouldn't need any frou-frou sleeping accommodations. The OpVec has a floor, right?

6' 3" according to arrest reports (and 245 pounds) . One of his sons is 6' 8" but doesn't seem to be a poot like his Daddy.
