MM hung up. couple min later she overheard MM and CP, maybe Herschmann, PC said Mark we need to do something more. They are literally calling for the vp to be hung.

1. take immediate and swift action, herschmann, Ivanka, wh counsel.

2. neutral group trying to tow the line, didn't push trump but knew something had to be done.

3. deflect and blame. Blame Antifa. MM was in the deflect and blame category.

Jan 7 Philbin started writing a speech. shared the draft with Cippolone who agreed with the content of the draft, and Herschmann..

trump didn't like the speech and didn't want to give it.

CH (learning from MM and WH counsel and Herschmann) trump thought he'd done enough and didn't need to do any more.

When he was convinced to make a speech, he wanted to control it. She has orig draft that got thrown out, stuff like rioters being violent. He wanted to talk about pardoning the rioters. They didn't do anything wrong. The only person who did something wrong j6 was Pence.

MM, Herschman, CP, Pat Philbin, Jarvanka talked him into making a Jan 7 statement.
also McEneny(never did learn how to spell that name) There were concerns about the 25A being involved, so the primary reason trump had to make the statement was to avoid what could happen in the final days of his presidency.

he made teh j7 speech, but couldn't bring himself to say "this election is now over" It was the only part he didn't read, but kept to the script otherwise.

They had to fight to keep the part about pardoning rioters out of the speech.
