The background, the dear reader will recall, is that the Daily Beast wrote an article in 2019* explaining how one of OANN's freelancers also wrote for Sputnik, Russia's "news" agency. Maddow commented on the Daily Beast article, so OANN sued Maddow (but not the Daily Beast).

As the suit was filed in federal court in California, the federal court applied California's anti-SLAPP law and tossed OANN's lawsuit (Maddow was obviously opining and commenting), which had the effect of leaving OANN with Maddow's legal bills.

If was still here, he would have explained how all of this was entirely foreseeable.

I noticed they had a senior judge from the ED of Pennsylvania on the panel. I saw the name and the name Eduardo Robreno seemed very familiar.

Maybe they had to do the case quickly because Judge Robreno did not want to be attached to California longer than necessary as Judge Guillford, now Senior Judge of the CD of California, has it out for Robreno since Robreno transferred part of that monster to California.

"When you look at what's hurting America, when you look at this lack of leadership, and you wonder who are the people responsible for putting someone this incompetent and frankly this, you know, mentally frail in this position?" Campos-Duffy said on Sunday. "And yes, of course, the media and many people are saying... Susan Rice and Obama and maybe Valerie Jarrett."

"I'm sorry, as a political spouse, I can't help but look at Jill Biden," she continued. "No one knew better his state of mind than Dr. Jill Biden."

Campos-Duffy added: "And if you ask me, the most patriotic thing Jill Biden could have done was tell her husband [Joe Biden] -- to love her husband and not let him run in this mental state that he's in. I think she failed the country as well."

So we went out to visit my parents this morning and took the dog. We were hanging out on the porch enjoying the lake and watching the dogs play when she said "Did you see those horrible pictures of all the caged dogs Biden left behind in Afghanistan?" and I went OFF on her. I told her to quit watching the blatant lies they tell on Fox and get some accurate information from other sources for once. Her only defense was that "she saw pictures of the cages" on the news. I guess "news" should also be in quotation marks. I filled he in on what those pictures actually were and after about 4 sentences she said "OK, I get it." No minds changed. She still thinks Biden abandoned hundreds of poor puppies and I still think Fox is a pox on the human race.

Yes, Pox News.
