I love how these "America First" bozos think that we can retreat to our own shores and still be considered a world power. If you want to have influence around the world, you have to act around the world. TFG and the others think that everyone in the world should simply do what we want them to do, but that we have no responsibility to the rest of the world.

It doesn't work that way.

If we stopped all foreign aid, both humanitarian and military, other countries, most likely China would gladly step in to fill the void. And the money that China gives out would not be used to buy American jet fighters, tanks and ships. The money would be used to buy those things from China. Much of the aid would probably just be gifts of those things, from Chinese manufacturers.

The US cannot withdraw from the world and expect to remain a major player.
