While DONALD TRUMP was attempting to prevent then President-elect JOE BIDEN from ascending to office in the months after the election, his staff was determined to create headaches small and large for their eventual replacements.

The current occupant of the White House does not figure heavily in MAGGIE HABERMAN’s highly-anticipated book, “Confidence Man,” which chronicles Trump’s rise from outer borough rich kid to New York real estate mogul to president.

But excerpts of the new book shared with West Wing Playbook show how in the final days of his presidency, Trump’s team took steps to sabotage their successors.

Haberman reported that an employee of JOHN MCENTEE, who served as Trump’s director of the Presidential Personnel Office, stuffed copies of photos of HUNTER BIDEN into an air conditioning unit at the White House, breaking it.
If that's the worst that they did, its a tempest in a teapot.

I remember, back in January, 2001, the outgoing Clinton staffers removed the W keys from all the west wing computer keyboards. One of Bush's incoming staffers seriously suggested that the Clinton folks be prosecuted for destroying government property.
They didn’t remove the Ws. They just turned them 180 degrees and the Bush team thought they had 2 Ms.

not related to the search, but the letters are likely government NARA matter and not "personal"
Trump's self-described 'love letters' to Kim Jong-un seized from Mar-a-lago have been published

Letters exchanged between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and former U.S. President Donald Trump between April 2018 and August 2019 have recently been published.

Korean-American Club, a nonprofit composed of South Korean journalists from different news agencies, published 27 personal letters exchanged between Kim and Trump in the latest issue of its magazine, The Korus Journal.

“I am ready to work with your excellency with all my heart and devotion,” Kim said in a letter dated April 1, 2018, nearly six weeks before he first met Trump at the Singapore Summit.

On the same day, Trump responded that he was “happy to meet” Kim to “drastically” improve relations between their respective governments.

Trump also wrote a letter thanking Kim for the repatriation of the remains of 55 U.S. troops who died during the 1950-53 Korean War.

“Thank you for keeping your promise to start the repatriation process of our soldiers,” Trump said in the letter dated Aug. 2, 2018. “I look forward to seeing you soon.”

Kim greeted Trump on his birthday in 2019 with a letter that also mentioned the one-year anniversary of their “historic” meeting in Singapore.

Trump replied two days later, saying he and Kim shared a “unique relationship and a special friendship.”

According to the Korus Journal report, Kim sent two letters in September 2018, in which he indicated his desire to personally discuss with Trump a potential denuclearization of North Korea.

The plan excludes then-South Korean President Moon Jae-in and then-U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo, with Kim noting that Moon’s interest is unnecessary.

Trump — who ran his own airline into the ground — used his big rally finale to bash the industry in a bizarre rant: 'They don't know what the hell they're doing'

  • Trump targeted the airline industry at a Republican campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday.
"We are a nation whose once-revered airports are a dirty, crowded, mess," he said.
Trump was at the rally to support GOP candidates Tudor Dixon, Matt DePerno, and Kristina Karamo.
Former President Donald Trump bashed the airline industry at a campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday.

Trump visited Macomb county to support Republican candidates, including Tudor Dixon, who is running against Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Dixon, a Trump-backed candidate, is currently trailing Whitmer in the latest polling.

During the hourlong speech, Trump covered his usual list of grievances and also thanked conservative activist Ginni Thomas for telling the January 6 House Select Committee that she believed the 2020 election was stolen from him.

During the close of his speech, Trump attempted a dramatic reading over a piece of music tenuously linked to QAnon. After spending a few minutes talking about violent crime, he took an abrupt detour to single out airlines and airports, saying those working in commercial aviation have no idea when flights will arrive on time.

"We are a nation whose once-revered airports are a dirty, crowded mess where you sit and wait for hours and then are notified that the plane won't leave," Trump said.

"It's a nation where ticket prices are through the roof. They don't have the pilots to fly the plane. They don't want or seek qualified air traffic controllers. And they don't know what the hell they're doing," he said.

Wait, the Korean-American Club got access to seized recovered documents from the search on August 8th? That is a big leak in the FBI, yesno? Or is that story inaccurate?

Translation - ha had to walk in COMMERCIAL SPACE and DIDN'T LAY ON A SPECIAL FAST EXPEDITED RED CARPET and they DIDN'T CLEAR AWAY ALL OTHER FLIGHTS SO HIS LITTLE PLANE COULD FLY and DON'T THEY KNOW WHO HE IS???

dEither that ot changing his script was the only way anyone would report that he had a rally and anything in his speech. No-one is reporting that Trump is a jackass at his rallies anymore, he needs fresh material. he would start ranting about his cousins the Orangutans if it got him column inches.

The linked story mentions that Bob Woodward quoted excerpts in his book, so apparently at least some of the letters were already in the public arena.

I’m out on a drive, so I can’t check. But my impression is that the letters to Kim came from some N. Koreans who had access to them, not from the FBI.

The story doesn't say, but a bunch of Kim v Trump correspondence was reported to have been handed over in the earlier document return in January. Here's a story from The Daily Beast dated Feb 7th.

For his 2024 campaign, Mango Mussolini should borrow from an old saying, "I will make the planes fly on time."

Ex-Trump Adviser Corey Lewandowski Takes Plea Deal In Unwanted Advances Case
The deal resolves allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances to a GOP donor at a Las Vegas event.

AP

LAS VEGAS (AP) — An ex-adviser to former President Donald Trump has taken a plea deal to resolve allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances to a GOP donor at a Las Vegas event.

Corey Lewandowski entered into a plea agreement earlier this month involving a charge of misdemeanor battery, according to online Clark County records.

While he does not admit to any wrongdoing, Lewandowski will undergo eight hours of impulse control counseling and 50 hours of community service.

Court documents dated Monday state that the charge will be dismissed if he satisfies these requirements and stays out of trouble for one year.

“A misdemeanor case was filed but we are pleased to say the matter has been resolved,” defense attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement. “The court set conditions that Mr. Lewandowski will fulfill and the case will ultimately be dismissed.”

The plea agreement was first reported by Politico.

Trump donor Trashelle Odom publicly alleged Lewandowski repeatedly touched her without her permission, made lewd comments and stalked her throughout a September 2021 fundraising event. Odom is the wife of Idaho construction executive John Odom.

The allegations led to several Republican figures cutting ties with him.

Lewandowski needs a lot more than eight hours of this.

Be Donald Trump, apparently, and say the things he says because they wish they could say it all.

As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

Desparation?
Trump threatens further legal action against news media, Jan. 6 panel

BY OLAFIMIHAN OSHIN -
10/03/22 7:56 PM ET

Former President Trump on Monday threatened legal action against various news media outlets and the House select committee investigating the Jan 6., 2021, attack on the Capitol on the same day his legal team filed a lawsuit against CNN.

Trump did not specify what other media outlets he plans to sue but said he would file lawsuits against them for their “disinformation” about the 2020 election, which he lost to President Biden.

“In the coming weeks and months we will also be filing lawsuits against a large number of other Fake News Media Companies for their lies, defamation, and wrongdoing, including as it pertains to ‘The Big Lie,’ that they used so often in reference to their disinformation attack on Presidential Election of 2020,” Trump wrote in his statement.

The former president said he would target the Jan 6. committee for not investigating his claims of election fraud, which were at the center of dozens of lawsuits by Trump in courts across the U.S., all of which were dropped or dismissed, some by judges he appointed.

And the beauty of it is that he never really has to file the lawsuits. "Send me money to help pay for all these lawsuits I am going to file against the fake news media". And, then he quietly forgets to file the lawsuits and pockets the money.
