Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told CNN that a group of former Trump administration officials plan to meet in the coming weeks to "try and stop" Trump as he continues to “manipulate people and divide our country.”

Watching that smug Grisham with her ONLY WE CAN STOP HIM spiel just irrationally infuriates me.

While I have no problem with Ms. Grisham's current anti-Drumpf activities, and even applaud them, I think it's important to remember her history as a light-weight, who had neither credibility nor credentials.

I wish her well in doing something worthwhile in her life.

That was much more interesting than "Fox and Friends" this morning.

Did they even mention J6 on the show today? The only time I tuned in was all about Doocy and family having Covid.

That is just too funny for words. As has been pointed out, she is truly a lightweight both credential wise as well as in the upper stories. The hubris of thinking she and any other group of suckups could convince Der Trumpenfüher to do anything sensible is high comedy. He has NEVER EVER listened to anyone who wasn't telling him what he wanted to hear.

It’s interesting that the current illegitimate president has a consistently higher approval rating as of now, despite losing in a massive landslide. You’d think more people would be upset by that. While having a low approval rating, Congress is also higher.

Not surprisingly, one would never know this were one to listen to FoxNews and its ilk. All I hear on there is how historically low Biden's approval ratings are. Well at least they aren't as low as tfg's!

In other news, tfg issued a much longer and dumber statement regarding Biden's speech. It's not worth reading, but for the masochists among us, I'll stick it under a spoiler.

He may have issued that. He didn't write it.

Newsweek -

Trump Spent Jan. 6 Anniversary Watching Cable News and Fuming
As President Joe Biden spoke on January 6, the first anniversary of the Capitol riots, Donald Trump was fuming. From his Mar-a-Lago estate, he watched as Biden lambasted him, blaming him directly for the unrest, branding him as nothing less than a threat to American democracy.

Trump had known what was coming, people close to the president told Newsweek. He expected Biden and the media to savage him on the anniversary. Not because he deserved it–close friends and political allies of the former president all say he still angrily rejects any culpability for the January 6 riot—but because, as he told one friend, "it's all they've got."

"[Trump said] they can't talk about anything else because the guy [Biden] is such a disaster," a Palm Beach friend of the former president told Newsweek.

:snippity:

Trump's friends said even before the one-year anniversary it was hard to overstate his contempt for Biden; the anniversary speech on Thursday only intensified that contempt, they told Newsweek. "The reason he is so fixated on the so-called stolen election is that he still can't believe he lost to that guy. He thinks he's feeble and incompetent and believes [Biden's] first year has demonstrated that," a source familiar with Trump's thinking said.
Trump has no clue that Biden is the mature, capable leader and he himself is the blathering idiot.

I think I missed the class. And the memo. Can’t imagine where I was; I was glued to the horror that was tfg’s reign for most of the four years. Was it on Zoom? Facebook?

I’m talking, of course, about how we all went from Democrats, members of the other party, to Radical leftist, America-hating Social Communistas with fascist leanings and totalitarian desires in the space of about 12 months. Did any of you go to the training? Who were the trainers? Was Obama one? Did you have to show your Long Form? Was there a signing bonus?

Drat. I miss all the good stuff.

Straight up fact, I was a moderate Republican as little as 10 years ago, but eventually, a combination of common sense, disgust with the raw hypocrisy and an epiphany of theory planted in my head long ago when I went to England to learn economics from communists has made me a card carrying Socialist.

What gives about people being so concerned about tfg's hatred or anger? That's his default state.
