last night, Tucker Carlson blamed mass shootings on women (https://wonkette.com/tucker-knows-what- ... t-is-women), and then two hours later Laura Ingraham blamed them on weed (https://wonkette.com/laura-ingraham-kno ... r-midnight).

they're just tossing things that aren't guns against the wall

No link yet, presser still ongoing after the hearing. Prosecutor says he confessed, and also they're saying that suspect considered another shooting in Wisconsin, unclear (to me at least) why he decided not and returned to IL. No bail, and I believe they said no plea.

An article I noticed said he had made his way up to Madison, Wisconsin, saw a gathering and with 60 rounds still, thought about attacking that but changed his mind when he decided he was not prepared (I assume that meant he did not have a safe position to hide from others). This would explain why he was spotted and caught heading south toward Highland Park on 41. Not sure where he thought he was going to go there.

MTG tweeted that he was 22, 5'11" and 120 pounds and that is not healthy so it must be drugs and stuff. Um.. 22 5'11" and 120 pounds? That was me.

MTG's base are likely pretty overweight since healthy living is 'communist' or 'hippy'.

Rick Scott is 6'0" and 150 lbs. But I'm sure he's healthy as a horse.

Well, I am no longer that 120-125 pound stick. I could eat anything and the metabolism would shed it right off. Now looking at a picture of foods adds pounds. Sigh.

If I bothered to exercise and eat better, I might get it down to 150, but beyond that, just not gonna happen.

It is probably safe to say that I was healthier back then than I am now, not that I am a mess now.

Seems like a nice family to live next to.

Is there anything unusual in these photos and videos? Maybe this is normal these days? His family seemed to think so. Also now seeing tweets that he scoped out a synagogue at Passover.

It might be "average" or "accepted in some circles," but it is not now and will never be "normal".

So this chunk really struck me as a window into the father and son's thinking:
"Making threats to the family ... I think [that was] taken out of context," Crimo said about authorities' description of the 2019 incident. "It's like just a child's outburst, whatever he was upset about, and I think his sister called the police -- I wasn't living there." Crimo said police removed his son's knife collection from the home, after he was asked if there were any weapons in the house.
So 'boys will be boys, these kinds of threats are normal, but that hysterical sister who actually lived with him kept calling the police!'. Yeah, this guy should be held liable... he knew about terroristic threats, but did not consider them a problem since only the womenfolk seemed bothered.

And dad stated that the knive collection was his, and thus the knives were returned to the house. Yet dad just said:

" Crimo said police removed his son's knife collection from the home, after he was asked if there were any weapons in the house."

In 2019, he was not a “child.” Another way to try to minimize responsibility.
