I voted "wins." Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter were re-elected while under federal indictment (both ultimately pled guilty and were pardoned by the Criminal In Chief). I see no reason why this would cause Gaetz to leave Congress nor have his constituents reject him at the voting booth. There will be no pardon from Biden, but if some Fascist gets elected President in 2024....

I voted loses. The difference with Gaetz is I think he will be incarcerated and will choose not to run from jail.

He will keep his seat unless a live boy or dead hooker shows up.

Collins and Hunter were liked by their colleagues; not so much, Gaetz. He’s doomed. I don’t see him prevailing here. Gaetz’ crimes, unlike Hunters, weren’t being stealthily copied by half of Congress.

I hope.

This is all a plot by Trump to get Ivanka a House seat without an election.

I don't know what that says about their colleagues.

But colleagues in Congress, by definition, do not vote in someone else's district.

I voted for the Fox News one, but I'm hoping he's toast long before the next election, which is a year and a half away.

Personally, I hope Gaetz gets indicted sooner rather than later and that he resigns in disgrace shortly thereafter.

I'm guessing he will be indicted within six weeks. Kevin McCarthy has already said that he is in favor of stripping Gaetz of his committee memberships, if/when he is indicted.

I seriously doubt that the R's would vote to expel him from Congress, even if he is convicted.

And, I certainly wouldn't count on the voters in his district to vote him out. They know that this is simply a massive plot to attack a conservative Trump supporter.

Sadly, this thread hasn’t aged well.

He’s been smart enough to not talk about the cocaine orgies.
