People were talking abut Enron on another thread so I thought I'd start a topic.

Smart move.
Edit: Maybe update to say Enron and other corporate fraud since the Enron discussion may not go on too much more anyway.

I was reminded of Enron during the recent Texas cold snap.
Also, am I the only one who has an “Arthur Andersen” folder? Every computer I’ve used in the last 20 years, I’ve added a folder with that name. It’s getting harder to explain to people, as time goes on, the purpose of the folder.

Yes.
I'm afraid I don't get it.

Basically stuff I want to shred/get rid of eventually, but useful for a while.

There is a few pages in "The Smartest guys in the room" About how A A started shredding rooms full of documents for a couple of weeks when they realized Enron was going down.

Yeah, that one's a little obscure to me too.

Ahh! That's my Eraseme directory.
Back in the day I would create batch files for employee's PCs. Amazing what you could do with those. Anyway, we kept the *.bat files in a \batch directory. I considered having them, instead, in a \belfry directory.

If I still used.bat files, I would steal that idea to use to store secondary .bat files (files that wouldn’t be in the list of paths, but still useful on occasion, or templates).
