McFadden gave him half of what DOJ was asking for. I'm actually impressed, was expecting far less.

McFadden expressed openly that Jan 6 was equivalent to Black Lives Matter protests (not during any particular trial, he made this statement outside of court pretty much before any of the actual cases were brought), which made at least one of his fellow judges pretty livid.
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

This genius rejected a 41-51 month plea deal. Enjoy that extra 2 years, Cupcake.

Christopher Alberts, wearing the gas mask, has admitted he was armed with a gun when he charging the police line here.

The guy behind him in the blue jacket (Guy Reffitt) had a gun too.

So both of the men at the very front of this mob were armed.

(Video from DOJ evidence.)

Capitol rioter shot at local deputies after FBI informed him of Jan. 6 charges
A Texas man facing charges in the Jan. 6 riot opened fire last week on sheriff’s deputies who had gone to his home to check on him ahead of his scheduled surrender to the FBI, according to a new criminal complaint.

Nathan Donald Pelham, of Greenville, who initially faced four misdemeanor charges tied to the insurrection, faces an additional felony charge of being a felon in possession of firearm after the incident April 12, a criminal complaint filed this week shows.

An FBI special agent wrote in a filing that he had called Pelham on April 12 and asked him to surrender in a few days. That evening, according to the agent, local authorities went to Pelham’s home after his father requested a welfare check.

When the deputies arrived, Pelham fired several shots toward them, prosecutors said.

I just watched the Ray Epps interview on 60 Minutes. As best I can tell there’ s no evidence connecting him with the FBI. The fact that he wasn’t arrested (yet), by itself, means nothing. There’s no paper trail, payroll records or anything like that. A cherry-picked text say “I orchestrated it” doesn’t man anything.
The best evidence they have that he works for the FBI, is that there’s no evidence he doesn’t.

Ray Epps, a Jan. 6 protester now at the center of a far-right conspiracy, says he relives the Capitol riot every day

I'm sure it's more like proof after Absolut.

NEW: Brandon Cavanaugh, a former NASA engineering intern, is pleading guilty in US Capitol breach case

Feds alleged Cavanaugh was amid mob near the doorway through which then-VP Pence was evacuated earlier

Cavanaugh acknowledges bragging on social media, calling Jan 6 "epic"
Do read the thread. Even Judge McFadden had a hard time swallowing that pity party (everyone's fault but his own).

I think this part is worth highlighting.
Cavanaugh has just ascribed some blame for his decision to enter the Capitol ... to "federal agents"

He says he's lost friends .. and his job

Scott MacFarlane
@MacFarlaneNews
·
16h
Cavanaugh says he was fired directly because of his Jan 6 case... a job for which he had a security clearance

He's now citing the financial impact of having to hire a lawyer and says his family is supporting him financially

Scott MacFarlane
@MacFarlaneNews
·
16h
Cavanaugh says "I'm not the type of person who likes to do anything violent"

"I know that we were definitely protesting. Making our voices heard. But I thought demonstrating & picketing was part of the legal process"

(He's saying this moments after pleading guilty to charge)

Scott MacFarlane
@MacFarlaneNews
·
16h
Cavanaugh says he was taking photos amid the mob because "it's a beautiful building"

Cavanaugh says "I've been punished already" ... because of "relationship issues" and "money issues" after arrest

Scott MacFarlane
@MacFarlaneNews
·
16h
Cavanaugh is now the way he's been handled in the case is "unjust"

(Again.. he just pleaded guilty minute ago)

Scott MacFarlane
@MacFarlaneNews
·
16h
Cavanaugh: "The sentencing for me.. probation.. would be extreme. I've already suffered so, so much. It's taken me a long, long time to recover from this. I've lost friends, opportunities"

He asks the court to find "another manner" for sentencing, other than jail or probation
