Well this sucks. She even said that she wasn't sorry and given the opportunity, she'd do it again. Blah.

Not sorry! And he destroyed his cell phone to get rid of the videos. They should get the book.

Cross posting.

The Oath Keepers are known as a violent extremist group. You can see some members here in tactical gear moving up the Capitol steps on Jan. 6.

We got a membership list from an anonymous hacker.

It included 10 sitting state lawmakers, all GOP.

The tweets are hard to follow, but the judge granted them both probation.

Comments elsewhere suggested they are rich, so $5k may be just a speedbump. Or a reasonable cost of business for entre into the grifting opportunities.

Just trying to be sure about this, Nancy Pelosi has no authority over the day-to-day operations of the Capitol Police. She also has no authority over the National Guard. She cannot deploy them or refuse their deployment?

This, there is no way she can honestly be blamed for the attack.

Plus, why would she want to let in a mob that explicitly said it wanted to kill her?

I gleaned from the tweets that $5K was the max the judge could fine, and he didn’t want to sentence her to jail time because he wanted her out there earning the money to pay the fine. Also, didn’t he order more community service than the government requested?

Correct. At most, the Speaker can remind the Capitol Police that even they have a boss.
This, there is no way she can honestly be blamed for the attack.

The crazies blame Ms. Pelosi for bad weather. They blame her for everything they don't like, regardless of facts.

Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin, who is facing charges in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot, has turned on the former president in a conference speech for abandoning January 6 rioters and failing to deliver on a campaign promise.

Griffin is facing misdemeanor criminal charges in the insurrection on the Capitol on January 6, where he was seen attempting to lead a crowd of rioters in prayer on an outdoor terrace. He supports Trump's baseless claims of widespread voter fraud, but denies that he knowingly entered restricted grounds to disrupt Congress certifying President Joe Biden's election win.

"We supported President Trump because of his fight for justice as well. And for four years we cried, 'Lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up.' We know she's a criminal. What did the president tell us? 'If I was in charge of the law, you'd be in jail,'" Griffin said Sunday at a QAnon conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Mr. President, you've been in charge of the law for four years," he added. "At the end of your four year time, the only ones locked up were men like me, and others like me, that have stood by the president the strongest."

In 2019, Griffin led a group of rodeo associates to form Cowboys for Trump, who held parades to show support for the Trump administration.
