Kenneth Crawford Jr., a sovcit from the Third Circuit who helped people file fraudulent tax returns, will spend roughly 78 months in federal prison bemoaning the unfairness of it all.
Crawford’s brief strains credulity and appears to endorse “sovereign citizen” arguments. [...] Appellant Br. 1–2 (“I, Kenneth-Paul: Crawford-jr.,© . . . am not Kenneth Crawford Jr.”). Among his frivolous claims, Crawford claims that the “jurisdiction (legal authority) of the federal courts was not derived from the U.S. Constitution; it was derived from the Trading with the Enemy Act” and the Patriot Act. [...] He claims that federal laws apply to the District of Columbia, federal enclaves, and federal employees only. [...] Additionally, Crawford argues that the jurisdiction of the courts is limited to “only martial law jurisdiction.” Appellant Br. 10. And because Crawford is “at peace with all men,” he claims that the federal government lacks jurisdiction over him. Appellant Br. 11. Crawford’s defenses have “no conceivable validity in American law” and are patently frivolous. “Regardless of an individual’s claimed status of descent, be it as a ‘sovereign citizen,’ a ‘secured-party creditor,’ or a ‘flesh-and-blood human being,’ that person is not beyond the jurisdiction of the courts.”

Shocked I am. He believes he should be released on parole because he's innocent and the government is the murderer. That will work well.

Do not leave a paper trail: How a group of sovereign citizens used a phony credit-repair business to amass a real-estate empire

A group of alleged scam artists have been charged with running a fraudulent credit repair business and then using their clients’ identities to get mortgages on millions of dollars worth of real estate in order to pocket the rental fees.

When the crew — which included a mortgage broker, a real estate agent and a notary — were indicted earlier this year, several flooded the court with nonsensical filings claiming they were sovereign citizens and that U.S. courts had no jurisdiction over them.

Followers of the sovereign citizens’ movement deny the legitimacy of the U.S. government and often refuse to pay taxes and gum up the legal system through endless and obstructive court filings.

Three of the alleged co-conspirators disappeared and went on the run for several months but were taken into custody last week on charges related to what federal prosecutors in Texas have described as a multilayered mortgage, credit-repair and government-loan fraud scheme...

Eh. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. I spend a fair amount of time crying these days. But anyway, since this is old and I think someone already pointed it out, I’ll let the cat out of the bag: the fish in the barrel is none other than Gavin Seim, holding court in one of the comment threads.

We have moar crunchy goodness from Southern California and Lenka Koloma:

First, on 9/1/22 she edumicates all of us on QUO VADIS WARRANTO: Much fun.

"Our servants have imposed a multiple of property-robbing taxes, direct taxes, fees and fines on us without our Consent;
Our servants have deprived us of the benefits of honest Trial by Jury;
Our servants have deprived us of the benefits of unrigged Grand Juries;
Our servants have transported us into chancery courts to be tried for pretended offences; Our servants have enlarged its boundaries under the guise of District of Columbia (10 mile square federal city) so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing absolute rule into these States;
Our servants have arrogantly disregarded our Bill of Rights, abolishing our most valuable laws, altering fundamentally the Peoples form of government, without consent;
Our servants have declared power to legislate through executive order, without consent;
Our servants have waged War against us;
Our servants have plundered our manufacturing base, ravaged our small businesses and destroyed the lives of our people;
Our servants have excited domestic insurrections amongst us;
Our servants have engaged in human trafficking of our children and elderly through courts; Our servants have engaged in Racketeering and extortion through our courts;
Our servants have held mock trials in courts not of record and thereby unlawfully incarcerating and financially fleecing millions of People, denying due process;
Our servants have empanelled bogus puppet grand and petit juries in order to perform BAR will and profiteering;
Our servants have stolen our homes in rem and fraud assisting bankers in double-dipping;
Our servants have kidnaped our children and destroyed our families in family courts;
Our servants have robbed our parents, turned their twilight years into nightmares and destroyed our families in probate court;
Our servants have turned our common law courts into chancery courts of injustice;
Our servants have put People in debtors prison;
Our servants have transformed our unalienable rights into crimes violating at every stage our Bill of Prohibitions, serving the BAR and not the People;
"

Next, same day, she announces the formation of "THE REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA." Just a short 15 minute teaser.

And then, on 9/3/22, as the 15 minute version of "THE REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA", she spend almost an hour explaining it to us all.

"Update from acting California Governor Hysell on why he took the vacant seat of Governor as Trustee in the benefit of the People until lawful elections can be hold. Learn what it means to live in a Republic which is a guaranteed form of government and how to step out of the Babylon to restore your freedoms and personal liberties."

I commented:

"Oh how cute, another pretend official for another pretend government. Let me see, we have Romana Didulo, Captain Karl, Anna von Reitz and a few others. So many pretenders -- what shall we do. Is this new "Republic" going to pass any laws or are we living in a libertarian paradise, e.g., Somalia? How about collecting taxes and issuing licenses/permits? If it doesn't collect revenue, how does it pay for people to enforce its rules? If no laws, does that mean I can murder someone and not go to jail -- so cool? I believe you have previously said that the US is a corporation and not really around anymore -- does that mean US dollars/greenbacks are void? Are you planning on issuing currency -- I hope not because the US Constitution says "NO NO NO" and the Secret Service frowns on that. Are you going to have new courts/law enforcers/etc. and, if so how do they get paid. Are you going to make drivers' licenses/registration/insurance all voluntary -- if so, please instruct all of your followers to make sure that they give your name, telephone number and address to the not so accepting California Highway Patrol and Local LEO's.

And one very large fundamental issue -- what military forces do you have to impose your new "Republic" in place of the existing State of California? The State has the National Guard, the Highway Patrol, lots of other armed officers, the Local LEO's -- what do you have? And I know you are NOT going to just run down to local/federal courts to seek relief from them --- Remember, according to you, they are all illegitimate.

Oh, this is going to be so exciting to watch. I look forward to many videos of your few, very few, followers blindly trying your advice and racking up the jail and court visits and the fines. I must buy more popcorn.

Ta ta. "

I was under the impression that the hierarchical structure of the Sov-Cit court system ran:

Court of first mis-impression = Denny's
Appellate = Waffle House
Supreme = White Castle

Is this not the case?
