Retirements

#1

Post by Dr. Ken »

So my first post on the revitalized board. This thread will serve as a place for all the congressional retirements of 2022.

So far we have 5 senate retirements on the republican side with:
Roy Blount - Missouri
Pat Toomey - Pennsylvania
Rob Portman - Ohio
Richard Burr - North Carolina
Richard Shelby - Alabama

So far none on the democratic side. It is speculated that Patrick Leahy may retire. It's also speculated we might see Ron Johnson possibly retire to keep his two term pledge. Chuck Grassley is also speculated to retire as he'll be 89 by election day.

Currently there are 2 vacant house seats due to deaths. Ron Wright - R TX 6th, Luke Letlow - R LA 5th. There is one vacant house seat on the democrats side from Cedric Richmond, LA 2nd, accepting a job with the office of public engagement.

Grassley is WAY PAST retirement age. I’m amazed his colleagues don’t give him the hook whenever he speaks.

Please please please keep your word, Ron!
