Not necessarily. It's shown upside down on some churches. This is the north window of Amiens Cathedral in France in one example.



Its because the 5 pointed star was historically a sign used by early Christians, who sometimes drew the Cross and the Star upside down in honour of St Peter, who is said to have been crucified upside down. The Satanists draw it upside down to mock Christianity.
