To the Reich Wing of America that's known as the good ole' days.....
Yeah, yeah, I know the way out....
"He sewed his eyes shut because he is afraid to see, He tries to tell me what I put inside of me
He's got the answers to ease my curiosity, He dreamed a god up and called it Christianity"
"Dark ages" is said to be around the collapse of the Roman empire, so the centuries around 700 AD or so. I think that picture is supposed to be around Medieval times or so.
So it's not actual history
Edit - Looking at it again, it's probably a depiction of Jesus being lead up to be Crucified.
Just counterpointing the toon. If you want research the quality of care I'm not going to stop you.
Research has also found that practicing Christians may be over twice as likely to adopt compared to the general population, with Catholics three times as likely, and evangelicals five times as likely. Practicing Christians are also 50 percent more likely to become foster parents—and almost twice as likely to consider becoming a foster parent.

To Suranis' point, I believe this was part of the creation of the pro-Putin/pro-Russian stance of the evangelicals-- he allowed Christianity to be open and there was a very strong Russian adoption alliance perhaps encouraged for that reason.

That last one: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER toss an infant or child up in the air. I know many people do it. I also had friends who did it and ended up with a dead six-month-old baby boy. I never let anyone do that with either of my children. I made it clear to my son-in-law that he could not do that to my grandchildren. He rough houses with them a lot, but he's never done that, at least to my knowledge. I think my daughter understood.
