My parents (and my siblings) lived in England for several years of my childhood. One year around 1970 we went to Stoke Mandeville hospital with a wheelchair-using (polio victim I think) colleague/friend of my father to watch the games. I was young, I remember very little of it. Stoke Mandeville hospital was a center for spinal and similar problems and a leader in getting disabled people to be positive and active (remember, this was half a century ago!), believing in the power of exercise and activity as a means of recuperation and mental recovery.

The games were small, people running around, shooting arrows, etc. in the large grass field around the hospital.

But I believe those Stoke Mandeville games are the direct ancestor of the modern Paralympic movement.

Now I'm imagining an Affleck-Arnold commercial skit (for Dunkin'?) where they are trying, like something out of My Fair Lady, to teach each other correct enunciation:

"Say it with me now and believe me later and hear me some other time, Ben: 'I have to get my neighbaahh onto the choppaahh and out of danjaahh"

And Affleck replies with his own (artificially thickened) Boston accent. And the skit rolls on.

How is pinching someones nose to wake them up sexual assault?

I understand it could be physical assault if he tried to twist it off, but tweaking a nose is not sexual.

The size of the honker corresponds to the size of the honker. See it's connected.

Have you seen my nose?

So when are these republicans going to speak out that MAGA is dangerous? that the threats were from trump supporters?

You don't think any of those Republicans are really black lesbians who have donned business suits over their rainbow t-shirts, tied back their locks under gray wigs and whited up with face paint to fit in?

Not even one or two?

The dude is still lying, as Biden said nothing about pipes in homes.

The upgrade to water systems will be paid for like almost every other infrastructure project, i.e., government deficit spending.

The republic-not-a-democracy crowd has lost the plot. Again.

If Biden asked Congress to provide funding to remove lead pipes in homes he would object to that to.
