Huh. I thought our theme song was "Somewhere Over The Fogbow"?

Have to dig up my lyrics, I sang it once on Reality Check Radio, didn't I? And ol' Martha WhatsHerName, the lady who said Malcolm X was Obama's baby daddy and his momma was the daughter of Hitler or something, anyway she said I had "a lovely voice".

'Course, those lyrics were about birthers and the sad (very sad) birther movement.

Which done dried up and blew away some years back. Until such time as Kamala takes office, I reckon.

So, umm ... yeah. Maybe we could try a new theme song. Never live up to Green Acres or The Beverly Hillbillies, the anthems of my childhood. But ... nice!

You do have a lovely voice, Foggy. "Somewhere Over The Fogbow" was beautiful and classic, but it was a kinder, gentler time. Now those punks to be warned: "For your crimes of passion, you bastard, I'm gonna put you AGAINST the wall!" and "I've got more information than the FBI!"

But you hit on genius: LOVE the idea of having a recording session with you and Wavey Davey to cut the new track, Edie can be sampled! Do you think you could handle the complex lyrics and headbanging? It's right up there with Modern Major General in its complexity. At the end, Edie says, "Thank you, Larry", which in the new version could be either "F*ck you, Larry Klayman" or "F*ck you, GIL". It's almost eerie how beautifully it works! Of course Foggy, you get top billing as Dick Tater.

When I click on a thread in the Unread Posts page it takes me to a post in September instead of to the first unread post. Seems to happen with most threads.

I invariably use Active Topics, not Unread Posts.

it happened to me too, I chalked it up to being the result of the threads being moved to more appropriate fora, which somehow reset the unread post counter.

Oh yeah, and I'm not done yet, but I will be done today or mañana.

And yeah, that can reset the last "Unread Post" because I moved the thread to a new forum.

I'm doing my best to organize the joint a little more better, but it can be challenging. Some people (Roodles comes to mind) belong in several categories of subject matter - he's intimately involved with January 6th, he's one of the worst right-wing pieholes, he has lawsuits and legal disciplinary problems, so I could plug him in lots of places.

Putting him in Worst of the Right-Wing Pieholes, though, when I come across him. I like Worst of the Right-Wing Pieholes.

Twitter is suddenly back in theposts on my notebook in the Chrome browser. I am unaware that I fiddled with any settings or updated anything.

I need some of your magic. I still can't read tweets and have now discovered I also can not read the hidden show spoiler entries.

Upon further investigation, my staff informs me that there's a new version of the extension that controls the spoiler tags, Advanced BBCodes.

However, I don't install stuff in the middle of the day, because it might mess up our database and we can't have that.

Which means I will have to get up early mañana, kick everybody off the forum, back up the database, and then install the new version.

The other eleven extensions we have installed are all fully up-to-date.

Edit: NOTE: Advanced BBCodes does NOT control the display of tweets. That's done by the official phpBB extension for Media Embeds. So maybe updating ABBC will help with spoiler tags and maybe not, but it almost surely won't help with tweets. I have to keep working on that one.

Trying to read raison’s post in the MTG thread. It’s just a blank box but before it blanked out there was ghostly, floating text. I saw something floaty about Facebook before it too disappeared.
