It does. It also looks like she's trying too hard. I'm no prude, but I'm not into outrageous for the sake of outrageous, sexy or not. See Bjork's swan dress.

That said, the gentleman's outfit reminds me of Cher/Bob Mackie designs. He nails it.

The Lady in Red is Anitta. I don't recognize the name.

She is a Brazilian singer per Wikipedia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anitta_(singer)

1. His pants are WAY TOO SHORT, which means

2. I can see that his shoelace is untied.

3. He'd better have knee-high socks, because when he sits down those pants are going mid-calf or higher.

4. I like the jacket and the look of the head. With the beard and the messy hair, he looks like he woke up this morning in the bushes behind a Motel 6. Hay, it's a look!

I agree with your featured pic of Zendaya. Christina Ricci and Jean Smart also nailed their looks. Many of the others are best passed over in silence, even if I know who they are, which I don't. As for men, Nicholas Hoult, whoever he is, also nailed it. It helps that he is young, handsome, and slender.

He must have gone to Hardeee's/Carl's Jr. beforehand and still has their start stuck to his untied shoe.

Maybe he had to run quickly before the FBI took his phone.

Sustainable Fashion Week. The Catwalk Review.

‘Regenerate’. ‘Rewear’. ‘Repurpose’. ‘Reconnect’.

The ideology that these words advocate for is increasingly finding a more persistent voice within the fashion industry. Sustainability and ensuring that the fashion industry leaves a minimal ‘mark’ on the planet is becoming fashionable for all the right reasons. Therefore, a catwalk show modelled on this ideology, produced by the Sustainable Fashion Week of 2022, was surely something to look out for.

The four themes beautifully set the stage for the production that incorporated clothing pieces which all found their place within the conversation - whether it was clothing made out of organic materials, items that have already been in circulation, or materials that have been repurposed from older items of clothing, the show really highlighted the manner of which people such as ourselves could aim to put sustainability at the forefront of our fashion choices.

Each theme was explored by a different company who used the opportunity to put on mini shows to exhibit their work. ‘Regenerate’ was produced by Future Leap in collaboration with Lucy and Yak. For me, this was a perfect example of synergy with a purpose of showing that business should and could be done differently. The catwalk included a mixture of the Lucy and Yak A/W collection on 7 models who all perfectly presented the organic and recycled clothes.

The rewearing of old clothes, cleverly coined within the show to be an example of ‘slow fashion’, is something that I’m sure isn’t a new concept for most of us. However, Maria Loria from Wear My Wardrobe Out, based in Bedminster, introduced a slightly more nuanced way of continuing a ‘fashion love story’, which was mixing items from your existing wardrobe with the use of a rental wardrobe outlet. Doing this within the ‘rewear’ segment of the show posed the question of why we continue to buy new clothes and designs, when there are already so many items in circulation which would also be able to fill our fashion needs. She highlighted the unethical nature of fast fashion companies from both a humanitarian and environmental point of view, with her finishing her introduction with the question “Does the devil wear Prada whilst clothing our nation in polyester”, which I thought was very profound.

The choreography may be great, but it makes the clothes look like shit. And wearing the wrong clothing for the choreography detracts from that too. Pick one or the other.

Nigerian teens create fashion from trash to fight pollution

Chinedu Mogbo, founder of Greenfingers Wildlife Initiative, a conservation group working with the activists, said the show was designed to raise awareness about environmental pollution.

Lagos, one of Africa’s most populous cities with more than 15 million people, generates at least 12,000 metric tons of waste daily, authorities say. And implementation of environmental laws is poor: The World Bank estimates that pollution kills at least 30,000 people in this city every year.

I loved doing the annual 'trashion' show for years, but retired after the year I won literally every single category including jewelry and accessories. Over $2500 in cash prizes but the college art students who had entered looked so dejected I hung up my garbage bags and stapler after that. 3 of my outfits also went to Washington DC for the annual Keep America Beautiful conference.

Well, I, for one, liked 'em. I thought the looked good, and you could obviously move in them, they would be comfortable. But I'm too short to wear any of 'em to good effect.

I hate clothes that are not comfortable, no matter how 'fashionable' they are, or how much other people think they look cool. Yes femmes, this does mean I hate high heel shoes. I appreciate how it makes your legs look sexy when you aren't wearing pants, but I am always in fear of you falling off and breaking something - let alone the long term damage to your feet and legs - and that is a decidedly unsexy thought.
