Thanks to the magic of television we have watched the New Year happen in London, Puerto Rico and New York.

A few more minutes of 2023 left here but there is no large local celebration. Not even fireworks.

We started getting explosions around 5:30 I told hubby "Oh, Chiefs must have secure their playoff place." And he's like, "Nah, just celebrating New Years Early."

Chiefs won their division, guaranteeing their place in the playoffs today. Right about 5:30. I'm almost tired of them winning stuff. The Superbowl, in particular, is especially bad. SO many fireworks, running until SO late. Ugh! And, of course, we got another round at midnight. Ugh

You sound like me with my writing. I have to write *something* every day, even if it's horrible and I have to trash it later. It's just staying in the habit that's important for me.

I'm also going to try to take up crocheting. My husband says I'm turning into a classic old lady. Ha! says I!
