Arkansas has a rich Native American heritage with several tribes and many locations statewide. This art piece can be seen at the Hampson Archeological Museum State Park in Wilson, Arkansas. "Hampson Archeological Museum interprets the lifestyles of this farming-based civilization that lived there from A.D. 1400 to 1650. Artifacts and exhibits share the story of this early aboriginal population of farmers who cultivated crops and supplemented their food resources with hunting native game while developing its art, religion, and political structure along with a thriving trading network." https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/park ... state-park

There are several museums around the state with Native American artifacts. "Native American Heritage Stops in Arkansas" is a great site to begin your journey. https://onlyinark.com/culture/native-am ... -arkansas/

We are just 20 miles south of the Kiowa and Comanche area of Oklahoma and its three casino resorts. There are at least 15 other Native American reservation casino resorts in Oklahoma. There are also a number of small slot machine only casinos.

Years ago in Traverse City, MI, I walked out of a Ponderosa and a gentleman approached me and asked me directions to the casino. I had to ask, "which one?"

There are about 12,000 Kiowa tribe members. Compare this to the approximately 600 Shinnecocks on the South Fork of Long Island.

Compare both of those to the Cherokee Nation which has 450,000 tribal citizens worldwide more than 141,000 of whom reside on the tribe's reservation in northeastern Oklahoma.
