I hear it as, We haven't found anything yet. Maybe we can find something we can highlight as "questionable." Sure, it will wilt like lettuce on the hot Phoenix pavement, but all we have to do is plant that seed.

Also, don't they need something concrete to reasonably request such records? Does "I'm leading a fishing expedition" work?

Same logic.

The whole freaking world knew he was corrupt. It is infuriating that they continue to try and turn it into some kind of lone Biden rodeo show.

House Republicans set first Biden impeachment inquiry hearing for Sept. 28

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans plan to hold their first hearing next week in their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

The hearing — scheduled for Sept. 28 — is expected to focus on “constitutional and legal questions” that surround the allegations of Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter’s overseas businesses, according to a spokesperson for the House Oversight Committee.

Republicans — led by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy — have contended in recent weeks that Biden’s actions from his time as vice president show a “culture of corruption,” and that his son used the “Biden brand” to advance his business with foreign clients.

The spokesperson also said Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chairman of Oversight, plans to issue subpoenas for the personal and business bank records of Hunter Biden and the president’s brother James Biden “as early as this week.” McCarthy appointed Comer to lead the inquiry in coordination with Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Ways & Means Chairman Jason Smith.

O'Connor, now an attorney in private practice, was Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Tax Division for six years during the administration of President George W. Bush and a member of then-President-elect Trump's Treasury Department Transition Team.

Here is O'Connor's biography from her own website. How would she have any information about the Bidens when she quit working for the IRS in 2007, before Biden took office as Vice President and before the election even took place. The story is that supposedly his family took advantage of the fact that he was Vice President and got all kinds of perks, jobs, money, etc. because of his position as Vice President. She was in private practice before Obama/Biden were elected.

She will be able to testify to questions like "If Hunter Biden sent his Drug money through a Chinese Government Account to buy a night for Joe Biden with a Chinese spy who was a Russian Prostitute, would this break ethics rules?"

More BS, nice on NBC calling it out. We need more of this.
Aaron Rupar @atrupar wrote: an NBC reporter pressed Rep. Jason Smith about the fact that some of his Biden allegations pertain to a period of time when Biden wasn't in office or a candidate for one. Smith had no answer, saying "I'm not an expert on the timeline," then got snappy with the reporter & moved on
