Wasn't Anus Burger the DA in the old Perry Mason series?

Well, that is marketing -- they inflate suggested retail prices, then they can offer promo-codes like "ANUS BURGER" and offer up to 66% off!

You must be new to retail price schemes.

(I know you are not new to them)
You're not wrong: I've always assumed that was happening, but I don't normally buy things that see that kind of marketing and my media consumption doesn't expose me to it very much.

That was Hamilton Burger, who was always pissed because Perry won every case. Thus his win ratio sucked and he was never going to get a gig in a private practice.

:fingerwag:

He didn't win them all. Lost at least two, perhaps as many as four. At least one he was misled by his client, thus the loss. In the most famous loss, The Case of the Deadly Verdict, the case was later overturned on appeal.

Mike Lindell’s “expert” to look for “election fraud” Doug Frank says he recently also had his phone seized at the airport: “As I came out of the potty, there they were - two guys standing there waiting for me.”

Mike Lindell had already lost attempts to toss the $1.3B defamation suit by Dominion that could bankrupt him, both in the lower courts AND in the appeals court. Today, the Supreme Court turned him down as well, and told his attorneys they will not hear the case.

All the MAGAs posting their MyPillow affiliate promo codes are helping Dominion prove their case that Mike Lindell did all this lying to make money. What Gorka, Jenna Ellis et al leave out is they receive a cut when marks use their promo codes. Grift all around.

For completeness, the DC Circuit kicked the case out because of lack of jurisdiction as a denial of a Motion to Dismiss is not a final order and lacking the district judge certifying the order for the immediate appeal denied the circuit court jurisdiction.

As stated in the order from the DC Circuit
BEFORE: Wilkins, Rao, and Jackson, Circuit Judges

O R D E R

Upon consideration of the motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction, the joint opposition thereto, and the corrected reply, it is

ORDERED that the motion to dismiss be granted. The district court’s order denying appellants’ motions to dismiss does not qualify for immediate review under the collateral order doctrine. Appellants have not demonstrated that the order denied a “colorable” immunity defense, see Broidy Cap. Mgmt. LLC v. Muzin, 12 F.4th 789, 796 (D.C. Cir. 2021), and the order is effectively reviewable on appeal from final judgment, see, e.g., Kilburn v. Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, 376 F.3d 1123, 1133 (D.C. Cir. 2004).

Further, the district court has not certified the nonfinal order for immediate appeal pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1292(b). See, e.g., Coopers & Lybrand v. Livesay, 437 U.S. 463, 474–75 (1978) (“[T]he discretionary power to permit an interlocutory appeal [under 28 U.S.C. § 1292(b)] is not, in the first instance, vested in the courts of appeals. A party seeking review of a nonfinal order must first obtain the consent of the trial judge.”). Appellants therefore have not provided any valid basis upon which this court could exercise appellate jurisdiction.

Pursuant to D.C. Circuit Rule 36, this disposition will not be published. The Clerk is directed to withhold issuance of the mandate herein until seven days after resolution of any timely petition for rehearing or petition for rehearing en banc. See Fed. R. App. P. 41(b); D.C. Cir. Rule 41.

Per Curiam
If I read the question presented for the SCOTUS filing, Lindell's attorneys argued the jurisdiction, not the district court's ruling, sort of, maybe.
The Question Presented is:

Whether a critic of official conduct may immediately appeal under 28 U.S.C. § 1291 a district judge’s refusal to dismiss under New York Times Co.
v. Sullivan a defamation complaint against him, if the critic’s motion to dismiss accepts the truth of all the allegations of the complaint, and its denial will result in his enduring long and expensive discovery and pretrial proceedings.
To be honest, I am confused (and IANAL). Despite their question about "immediate appeal" the beginning of the petition goes on about the standard of actual malice. Since Times v. Sullivan went through the whole process without an immediate appeal, I am not sure how this case, which has not gone to jury or final order yet, is the same.

In either case, one thing I was reminded of many times during the early birther days was:

"Never read too much into a denial of cert."

I spent too much time trying to reconcile numbers across multiple systems today so I did not have the proper brain capacity to read the entire petition. Here it is for those interested.
