How baffling it must be for Leo to ponder how all those people with a vested interest in Trump's acquittal and paid big bucks to try and bring that about don't consider his brilliant legal analysis. It's almost like a moment's thought on their part led them to believe none of it would ever work, so they're not wasting time on it.

On another level, this is the narcissistic authoritarian dictator's pitch, straight from the fascist playbook: "only I can protect you [from the problems my incompetence caused]." Only Leo can protect Trump...
